I’m a Husky guy (equipment, not stature) and I’ve always had good luck with Stihl chains, more so than the Xcuts. There is a limit though on .325 chains and the features you want. I fixed that by converting all my saws to 3/8” chain. Now I have no issues with what I want and when I want it. Good vid on a great subject! Mike

WST I have been considering swapping my smaller saws to 3/8 also. I'm gonna run the Stihl chain for a bit and see how it holds up for me

I always ran the husqvarna chain on my 359. I have never ran anything else to compare it with. Now I want to try the yellow still out of curiosity. I just bought an echo 620 a few months ago. It is running with the chain it came with. I like it ok. I don't know anything much about this stuff though.

The 3/8 chains I am more familiar with .This .325 chain I have more to learn. I know the husqvarna x cut in 3/8 is available in non safety. I may try one of those on my 2165

I bought the archer chain and bar for janelle's 435e husky. It seems pretty good and it's a little cheaper than stihl bars and chain. But all my stuff is genuine stihl products.⚪🟠

Love it man. Stihl also makes a full chisel in the 3/8 low pro for topping saws and man it rocks. Thank you Mike for sharing🌲❤🌲✊🪓🔥

Stihl Rapid Super? Never heard of it! LOL. Glad you found a dreaded STIHL dealer and that they were able to hook you up! I love RS for felling, but I generally try to run RM (semi-chisel) for bucking. I just bought RMF (Semi-Chisel, Full Skip) to run on my 362 with the 24” bar. I’m yet to run it though. I’ve always been pleased with the 362’s performance until I bought the 272... Running 24” bars on both saws definitely showcases the performance difference between a 60 and 70cc saw! Hoping the Full Skip sequence allows the Stihl to breathe a bit easier! Bless’ns to ya, Tedd

Hey Tedd good to see ya . I remembered after that video you were the guy with all the helpful info on the Stihl chains ! Thanks for the help. I have a few other smaller saws that run the .325 chain I will probably put the RS on them too.

If you post something that you are not sure of someone out there will freely give you the info you are looking for and sometimes even more than what you asked for. After watching him I was like now I see what I am doing.. Lol 😆
