I picked up one of these, but mine has the 21hp Vanguard Briggs version twin, got it for free, also picked up a JD x304, with the all wheel steering One, also got free, going to pick up 4 more 2 Jd 105 ,1 older cubby ,and a few Mtd machines all free.

First of all you are fun to watch. I have the same mower but mine doesn’t even let me turn it over as soon as I turn key on it blows the 20amp fuse. My helper was mowing the other day and when he put it in reverse he said it died. Now it blows fuse when turning key to on position-any ideas for me? Could the pto be jammed or engaged still Joe do I know

somewhere is a direct short, make sure the battery isnt hooked up backwards

Why was the fuse blowing?

because the PTO wasnt getting enough voltage cause the regulator was bad, its a wonder it didnt ruin the alternator yet!
