I bought a 701 to go from canada to Mexico along the Pacific Divide. Cascade and Sierra Nevada Ranges. 50/50 dirt service roads and back country tar. Perfect bike for the job. 2 weeks, hotel and chase truck. GPS, 3 tracks to chose, hard, med. and easy.

Need to start allowing “adventurised” 501’s along. Must have a full tower, larger tank, racks etc. So many of us out there who would love to be part of this.

Why a full tower? It’s irrelevant to Adv riding. Few of the 701s have towers. Same for racks. While certainly a bonus for normal adventures for this type of event they are riding clean anyway. Fuel range is the only requirement. I agree through 501s should be in the line-up.

@ just to satisfy the whingers who will complain the bikes are too light for these events. And to deter the enduro-bro culture they don’t want at this event, by adding weight and functionality to the 501.

There no crocodiles in New South Wales mate they are all up north from Rockhampton in Queensland. That town aligns to the Tropic of Capricorn or the southern boundary of the tropics and of course extends around and across the north of Australia through the Northern Territory to Western Australia and back down the west coast to where the TOC intersects it again.

on Lyndon his bike there's a husqvarna fender. I cant figure out why husqvarna doesnt sell a high fender kit with this included. they only sell the KTM kit for the Norden but that completely ruins the look of the Norden in my opinion.
