Calculate Quarter in Excel

Syed , Thanks for this video . Suppose , I want to mention Quarter Starting from Jan but want year to represent along Like 19Q1,19Q2 or 20Q1 & so on. What to do then?

Dear Suvadeep, thank you for the feedback. To produce the custom Quarters, you will have to use a combination of IF Function, Month Function, and AND Function. This is cool. However, it didn't show how did you make that small table showing the quarter and index_val. Does it need to be connected to something before it will function when the syntax is being typed? I tried to type the syntax showing on your screen, but it is giving me this message on the cell "#VALUE!"
