I’ve been building Fimbulwinter for a while as part of a haste/healing build. So rushing Cosmic followed by Fimbulwinter, Riftmaker, Spirit Visage and then either Liandrys or Zhonyas usually, usually Zhonyas for the armour and stopwatch. Swifties for the boots. It really feels unkillable in late game team fights. With both the healing and shielding, I feel like Spirit Visage is worth it in this case, and you’re getting a ton of additional AP from Riftmaker. Cosmic could be replaced with either Liandrys or Ryalis, but I’ve been really enjoying that extra haste in early-mid game.

try fitting in unending despair if you can, unending + spirits + riftmaker is insane on any champion with ap/hp ratios and innate healing, work wonders on zac too

I have never played Swain before and never had the interest to try him, but your videos make me want to try him out, I want to try conqueror + riftmaker and see just how much I will regen in a teamfight. Ty Husum I will now hop on lol and buy Swain and start playing him a little.

I've been really enjoying playing this build (although I mainly play Swain support). I think it really enables you to farm stacks consistently, using Rylai's slow to guarantee hitting your E W combo. Many games I end up with 1000 bonus hp from passive alone

Yo Husum, big fan, like the build, but why did you go for it this game specifically? You have lots of utility with Ashe + Rell. You're the sole magic damage dealer and they have lots of %hp dmg, they also lack range so their gameplan forces them to always walk into you, wouldnt something like conq/sorc to solve mana and then rift+liandries into a hourglass/FH make more sense?

Love the videos :D Im fairly low elo player, how do i know which games i should go more full ap for dmg and which games to go more tanky? I feel like even if i know i have other carries in games, it doesnt matter much if they end up playing poorly in teamfights or getting destroyed in lane. Also if im infront but wanna be a tanky guy for a squishy team, i have a ton of items but then nobody carries dmg wise and im tanky so i dont really nuke the enemy team and we lose.

i was quite happy with a build (on my swain). As a support i was unusually tanky and got 16 kills. Sorc shoes, 1) Riftmaker. 2) Unending dispair. 3) Jack Sho's. I admit.. it was a short game and i was ahead. Other team just didn't have the damage at that point, i could tank all of them at once. It was fun. And sure, my damage output ins't that crazy either.

Hi Husum Hope you had a wonderfull christmas! I ve been trying this build mostly on top Lane, but with tear start and roa first item. Ive had games with 8000 damage shielded with filbulwinter. However i think we lack a bit of damage late game. Keep going crow lord!

The description on Fimbulwinter says its "melee only" but what I saw was a Sterak's like effect, does this mean Swain is considered melee and not range? What does that make Urgot?

No, the shield only procs on slows if you are melee It still procs on CC (Swain Root), its just written so badly

On support you can yes! but you can also skip fimbul because support gets mana regen and just go straight into armor/support items

Husum please make an Aram Swain guide! It's actually difficult to figure out what is optimal to build becasue of the aram specific nerfs (also heard the damage nerfs don't apply to item damage). Would love for you to get into it!

it dosent? This build core is 5000g (rylai + fimbul) and most other normal cores are 5900-5400g (blackfire + rylai/cosmic) So no not at all you get there faster if you are looking for resistances after core items

Pro tip from a 6 seasonal Challenger, tear is a key item to pickup much earlier, especially against Yone, because if you fall behind even a little he will have botrk before you can start snowballing properly, better players will punish you for rushing rylais and bait out your spells much more effectively, but especially if you get ganked or bullied by certain champs, you want that mana earlier so you can actually trade back without having to back more often. HP and survivability will not help you stand a lane against 3 man ganks or coordinated baits, especially if you run out of mana in the most crucial moments. (Which happens to Faker btw as well) the early stacking will make it worth it and overall you might want to pickup tear on more champs in general as a "consumable" tear has a high resell value which effectively means you lose 120 gold to have 2-3x your mana early game which is especially good for ADCs and Supports. This might sound a lot but keep in mind how much a healthpot is and that you buy it anyway way often. Having that much mana early on for the cost of 120 gold plus the possibility to upgrade it is worth far more than for example oldschool mana potions. (Thats why they were removed btw) Also the healing on Doran's still doesn't work properly (especially on the Aram version :^) 200 f*cking years of incompetence)

We watch the videos not just for education but for entertainment, and it's not very entertaining when you spoil it. "I'm going to die here but I'll get 1 for 1" "He comes in but will die instantly" etc
