To be honest. From the perspective of a developer, though the websites in awwards looks great. They are not seo friendly, due to the large amount of images and javascript that needs to be shipped. To be seo friendly, you need to have minimal design.

If you lube the shit out of everything you’ll feel nothing. I’m here for the ones that break UX conventions in search of beautiful friction - when I go to awwwards, that’s what I’m looking for.
