Hello Mike aka Santa's Workshop and Delbert. Working on the El Caballero AC box. It looks good. I can't wait for it to be going back together and hearing it run and then drive.

I usually leave the original GM grease in those bulkhead plugs. I wipe the dirt, overspray, etc off the surface and supplement with dielectric grease. Whatever GM used is good stuff. I've disassembled 40 & 50 year old vehicles that had zero corrosion in the Packard 56/59 bulkhead plugs. I asked a buddy on the 67-72 Chevy truck forums that worked for GM in Flint what they used on the assembly line and he didn't remember.
