Thank you so much for the video Sir. I really learned a lot. I have a question though. In the 15:25 time, you mentioned the general rule for ground floor heat load of 75 to 80 BTU per hour per sq ft. Where can I get the other estimated heat loads for other floors? Thanks again.
@MEPEngineeringTutorials3 жыл бұрын
For first floor and floors above first floor thumb rule is 80 to 85 BTU/hr per sq ft. Please be noted this is thumb rule for exact heat load estimation you have to perform heat load calculation using hap software
@benrivera76963 жыл бұрын
@@MEPEngineeringTutorials if the main electrical room, generator room, and some IT room on the ground floor of the building need to be conditioned, do I need to add the heat load produced by the equipment to the thumb rule of 80_85 BTU per hour/ sqft heat load? Thank you so much Sir.
@MEPEngineeringTutorials3 жыл бұрын
Yes you need to add that load also but again I am telling you this is not accurate method, this is just thumb rule, for exact heat load calculation you have to use E20 excel or HAP software.
@benrivera76963 жыл бұрын
@@MEPEngineeringTutorials thank you Sir.
@MEPanon2 жыл бұрын
Heat load calculations should be completed using software such as HAP. This will give you the minimum required capacity for each space and is specific to the building location, orientation, etc. Some rooms can have a rule-of-thumb applied. For example, relatively small electrical rooms throughout a building can receive small-capacity dedicated systems (i.e. mini-split). However, this kind of decision should be approved by the building owner and firm you are working for.

For FCU when i am creating hydronic supply and return pipe and then analyzing the piping size, after that when i select the pipe and see the properties of that pipe there is no flow and velocity values, only blank space. Is there any setting or point you did earlier? how i solve it? Thank you once again.

Kindly check the disconnection between points, specially at join check it because sometimes when you have disconnection between two and you select that particular pipe segment it will show you zero values. Hi this is informative video. But can you disclose for me how you get 2.959 cubic foot/min. What are them respectively or where you get those numbers ?( 10.76? - 75? - 400? )
@MEPEngineeringTutorials4 жыл бұрын
Area of the office space was 110 square meters in order to convert this into square feet I multiplied 110 with 10.76 to get the area in square feet. As I explained in the video for ground floor as per thumb rule we have to take 75 to 80 BTU/HR/square feet. And our office area was 1183 square feet. Then for that much office area you need to multiply 75 with 1183 to get BTU/HR for your office space. And that would be 1183x75 = 88700 BTU/hr and if you divide 88700 load with 12000 you will get tonnage ... And tonnage would be 7.39 and the reason why you have to divide this load with 12000 because one ton = 12000btu/hr. And as per thumb rule one ton = 400 CFM ... And if you want to calculate CFM for your office space you need to multiply above calculated tonnage with 400 ..i-e 7.39x400 = 2959 CFM... I hope you get the answer
@jonafarmanila5134 жыл бұрын
