Just a suggestion, but don't let the old board rest on the new board when transferring the wires. I noticed a couple of the components were bent over while you were doing it. Capacitors, especially the can type ones, are pretty fragile when it comes to the leads.

A short piece of 1/4 inch copper tubing is the perfect tool for removing boards. Slide the tube over the catch and pull the board.

I kept 3 different sizes of short length Brass tubing on My Work key Ring just for those types of Nylon board stand off's I mentioned that to Curtis a few times in the past. I used mine in the Telecom Trade .

Curtis, this is the only time i will chastise your heavy handed work on a unit. You can fatigue and FX solder tracks, FX components, solder connections, and FX boards. I was a tech in aerospace microelectronics. EVEN if it does not fail on startup the physical stress you put on the parts can fail later. O.K. I will kick my soap box to the side. Thanks for showing repairs! I was inspired to troubleshoot a Lennox Pulse furnace at my church based on things I have learned watching your videos. Seems the blower capacitor failed, I didn’t have a meter to test it, but the motor shop was kind enough to test and sold me the replacement, which ultimately got the unit in operation again.(Just had to have a service tech show me the manual reset on the high limit).

Wow. 24 here this morning. Natural gas is great for house. Had to refill oil heaters for outside areas. Oil consumption going up, but in 2 months no big deal. Cheapest way to heat areas not well insulated when cold.

The tech I called for my Goodman gas pack diagnosed bad board 3 times, replacing one after another, finally he gave up. The last board was giving different random problem codes. Finally I checked the back of the board myself. Found and resoldered 9 cracked joints on the safties plug pins where the paper thin solder cracked when the plug was inserted. I guess they had been cracking each time.

Curtis you need a cordless heat gun to heat up that coil to defrost it and you need a Sherpa lined Carhartt coat to defrost yourself

Funny you have this video, the little board that forces defrost on my Trane failed and they came out and replaced it and it worked just fine and defrosted itself and switched back to heat mode. The board was very small, not part of the main board. Under warranty. The best service call to have. Enjoying your videos!!
