Tbh the scene was probably in relation to breaking reality or destroying reality or making reality destroy itself tremporarily just for that one blade hence the reason why random things are appearing to symbolize that dimension is now being destroyed as you're there and you pressing h is like making it more faster and effective at the right times And you using moves for anubis req means that it breaks or changes a part of reality similar to DIO over heaven ability so like dashing is just changing reality to make you go faster for a short time with anubis req Or it's because anubis is a haunted blade and what you're seeing is a reflection on what the blade is like basically that place is anubis' haunted part and how it's like if it merges with reality or or a dimension

something you forgot to mention is that the stand bypasses block, counters, and some I frames. Also the stand itself doesn't do any damage, instead it applies these "Stacks" represented by the blue number next to your target, once they hit 20 stacks they instantly die. So it will always take 20 hits to kill someone.

The thing about this type of horror is that it *relies* on you thinking there's gonna be a jumpscare. It said in the beginning that it was anxiety-inducing, which it was. It was uncomfortable at best, but because you didn't know what was going to happen--especially once it started doing quick time events--you almost convinced yourself that something terrifying was gonna happen if you messed up. It's an easy way to make a quick scary experience, whoever designed that was a genius

Don't ask why I think there's lore to Anubis Requiem but I think the reason for the horror scene is this: You are cleansing the blade. You are fighting Anubis itself until you gain the ultimate *POWER* , you've become worthy enough. The monsters get cut into pieces, the whole fabric of reality has been slashed into pieces. You finally have enough power. Yet you aren't motivated enough, get a plastic chair, take your son's arm off and plant a tree.

Actually, Anubis I figured this out Anubis is conquering their fear's like hanging yourself or chairs whatever chairs can scare you he is overcoming his fears and when he does he ascends and gets a futuristic blade.

Yo I'm the dude who helped you notify :trollge: Edit: Also take not that the horror relations to Anubis requiem is inspired by Vergil Sparda from the devil may cry series some of of his are a reference to his skills In game like h,e,g,y he doesn't float in game take note Anubis requiem is also inspired by Vergil's weapon the Yamato which can open portals and cut reality if I'm correct the horror part is where Vergil has to go through hell to escape there and take back his weapon which is embed to his son Nero's right devil arm and it is the reason why we can't see him in part 4 until 5
