I wonder why many people are commenting that she lipsynch? I mean she's part of MAMAMOO and never lipsynch, that is why they are called as Queen of live performance even though they are considered as Rookie group. MAMAMOO only have one lipsynch performance (try search it "MAMAMOO LIPSYNCH) and you will understand why they always sing live. Even in HIP they wear head microphone because they focused on the dance, but they still sing it live, because they said they are suck at lip synch and it is their nightmare. For the background vocal/ playback, it is needed to keep the performance on track and help the singer to traced back their beat.

Most idols with intense choreo or a handheld mic and choreo where they need both their hands have either backing vocals, the cd track in the background, or LAR (live audio recording with breaths). When groups do that it doesn't bother me - but if they sing live over the LAR and it doesn't match up or there is an echo like in this performance it drives me crazy lol Most groups use some form of a parachute for vocals. Nothing wrong with that, but I love hearing for example Hongjoong from Ateez (who has a lot of really intense choreos) sing live because it sounds different every time, never perfect and that makes each performance unique. Anyways there most definitely is a LAR in the background here but it is easy to distinguish what is the prerecording and her live vocals. Can't expect dancers to do both all the time and thats fine
