Someone asked a Sejeong vs Hwasa and Seunghee vs Kei vid so... why not put them all together lmao. Disclaimer! If you notice by the end, I only had one E5 for Hwasa. Well, unfortunately Hwasa rarely ever belt above C#5 and that's the only E5 I could find so my apologies. I could just do up to D5 ish but I did Hwasa's notes last so I already had every other vocalists' clips lined up and could not just delete all the other clips for Seunghee/Sejeong/Kei. Sejeong's improvement 🤩 I'm sure that KEI have some better materials for C#5s 😅 (usually when she's phrasing,bcuz her sustained notes tends to be pushy and have less control sometimes,ngl not a fan of her wobbly vibrato when sustaining notes) but you did mentioned that you're unfamiliar with,so it's okay! I like her mix lol, it's very healthy and balanced. 12:16 Girl was just shooting Eb5 lol,also the D5!! I kinda lowkey agree with KEI >= Hwasa. KEI sounds more cleaner and delivers better mid range than Hwasa,but Hwasa have stronger development even with messiness. @@YEOUN_channel OMG is my ult group actually so yeah I'm familiar with Hyojung lol XD I agree with her being high W-A. Personally she's like at the top of the tier for me, bordering to A tier. She has some moments where I think she's passable as low A when she puts more effort. But her support can be quite inconsistent at times, especially when she goes for a lighter approach which really drags her down from being in low A. Agree with the inconsistencies part,she mostly becomes inconsistent when opting for "cute" sounding :/ I personally would put Hyojung above Karina too. Hyojung sounds more solid in both lows and mix(mix especially in heavy ballad songs,like Destiny cover in Queendom, where she put more effort in producing stronger production) I think Denise(former Secret Number) is a high weak to average too. She have G3/G#3 ~ Bb4,her lows are nice but her mix kinda underwhelming imo. I expect she would have some nice chest engagement in her mix,considering how well developed is her lower register. It's quite a surprise for me that Seunghee's highest notes here are from their fairly recent performances (2019-2021) since she belts more during her earlier years. Well, the first A5 note was from a Cupid stage so.. lol.

I dunno how high she goes when she does the high pitch challenges against Choi Siwon in SuperTV, and once again against Kim Sejeong, Min Kyunghoon, Kim Yongchul and Lee Sangmin in Knowing Brothers. Ah Hwasa, my bias out of all the 4 of them (I don't mean vocally by the way)...well to be fair, I'm the most familiar with her by far lol. This is a pretty fair competition since all four of them are about the same tier more or less. Maybe your next video should be Solar vs Yuju vs Wendy vs Solji as a suggestion if there's no video about that yet lol. Maybe another one could be Wheein vs NingNing vs Lily vs Haewon as well.

Hwasa, Kei and Seunghee are roughly around the same tiers (C+). Sejeong has vastly improved since IOI/Gugudan and is safely at a B- as for the Solar, Yuju, Wendy and Solji, it would be Wendy > Solar > Solji > Yuju. Wendy dominates with head voice, Solji dominates in the 4th octave. Yuju would’ve been above Solar, but unfortunately due to her regression, she’s still in the midst of regaining her C5’s. Solar and Solji have both improved recently, and are more consistent in their C#5 (Solar) and C5’s (Solji), with much less pushing and tightness

These are good notes for everyone except... Kei 🧍. I'm sorry but why'd you do homegirl like that 😭. Those are (almost) all old videos from 2016-ish and in her messy Girl Spirit performances nonetheless. She has had much better moments on all these notes really. Notes with less air pressure being forced out, better brighter placement or even chestier, fuller ones (which Seunghee and Hwasa cannot do, only Sejeong can match the coordination here). Kei's Girl Spirit performances weren't bad but they were in her rookie era where she pretty much just pushes her way though belting. She still does have trouble with that while sustaining these days, but she has managed much better coordination (even within similar eras too... These are just two out of quite a few moments where Kei displayed a more consistent and controlled approach, with better coordination, compared to both Seunghee and Hwasa who apart from the best moments shown in this video, can be a whole other mess. Seunghee with her ugly pushing and less-than-impressive midbelts most of the time, Hwasa being... Hwasa.

@@himi_ i wanna share some of my thoughts that to me, a vocalist who had showcased a supported hv occasionally as high as Eb5/E5 are more of stylistic purpose rather than being “inconsistent”, they rather chose to use falsetto more often instead so. Kei is one of the example who’s also has showcased supported hv too as high as E5 but it’s occasional cause she’s often opt for falsetto instead. So yeah, i get that we can’t give them consistent hv to be part of their supported range but what i’m trying to say is that they “can” actually do it consistently if they want to cause it’s not like they only showcased it for 1 or 2 times only, right?😅
