I first heard Hayley when I was in the beautiful garden city of Christchurch in 2002. I do hope that from the rubble and the tragedy that Christchurch will once again be rebuilt and renewed to its former splendour. I was there only six weeks, but in 67 years I have not found a more splendid city or a friendlier people.

How can 37 people dislike this? I was there this day and i balled my eyes out. I had strangers around me doing the same thing, and in the area i was standing in everyone started to hold hands and everyone hugged at the end. Such a amzaing voice. I was moved to tears. ;'-( I remember when she was with Celtic Woman, who I have seen in person. Unfortunately, she was not part of the group then. This was my mother's favorite song! As if anybody needed proof that this wonderful young lady has a stunning vocal. A few years back i asked a Bass-baritone to possibly sing a lyric i'd penned for the music of Vivaldi. He said it might be a problem scheduling anything because he was working on a charity song with Hayley Westenra... So i said "it's fine...she takes priority..she is special".... I eventually managed to find my own Soprano to sing three songs for me....google Hannah Drury....SWEET LADY ENGLAND, THE STORM and EPIPHANIA....my patience and respect for Hayley and that other singer seems to have totally paid off.
