I think a good way to fix the issue of the planes getting so accuratte and the blockage of the airport would be putting the same restricting zone of chilliad in every checkpoint, that will make the planes unable to "camp" the checkpoints so efficiently and force them to dive bomb more betwin checkpoints, making the journey less easy and interesting because right now there are some dead zones on the map and all planes are focused on the same spot, making these spots excidingly difficult while the rest is relatively easy to manage, great video as usual tho!

FailRace going for the water sneaky strat is so in character! 100% if they didn't know where you were on the map the two of you would have made it. Maybe a version where they don't see you but you only have a set time to make it to the end would be a fair compromise to make sneaky strats possible. Also the plane crash blockage of the airport or their ability to ignore the safe zone on chilliad should 100% be changed.

I definitely think the planes should have lives. If they had 5 lives for example, they would have to be more selective with their divebombs. It seems much harder for the cars. Huge fan of Failrace too!

The joy of watching Alex come up with some absurd strategies for this, based entirely on his experience with doing unexpected things in STH. Such a shame they didn't work, but that was so much fun to watch.

this is so unfair to runners. plane pilots should not be allowed to block garage entrance with dead planes, or make the plane pilots also have lives (maybe 5-6 for each pilot should be plenty to get at least one kill on the player), then they would not just throw them self at the garage entrance to try and block it.

Gfred Survival is the only reason I haven't uninstalled GTA V yet. As usual, this was a lot of fun and I'm glad I managed to kill Broughy twice! 😅 GGs to everyone involved; especially Broughy, FailRace and Dinmite for editing this gem.

The dive bombing on Chilead seems to kind of entirely go against the spirit of the literal death circle around the top of the mountain. A bit silly really. Probably shouldn't be a thing along with the constant clogging of the literal only entries/exits of the car park. I mean the pilots have gotten so good and the deck is already IMMENSELY stacked against the racers to begin with. All this extra just seems to be salt in the wound and unnecessary to be perfectly honest.

I do remember during the second round that we discussed whether FR took the water. We thought he used the scuba gear because of how long it took for him to show up at the airport, lol. I know for the third round a couple of us looked on the east side shore and water.

THIS is fresh! A guest driver, several clips from other POV and doing something different with GFRED just made this so much better! As I have said before, with you now able to place a helicopter in the map in the creator.. Why not have a designated camera operator to record the race fra birds eye? Imagine seeing 200 GFREDers climb the mountain seen from above. Or a timelapse of the jump off and on the parking garage. There are many ways to make GFRED interesting again.

The Gfred-Survival videos are really great, unfortunately this game mode is far from balanced, and still needs a lot of work which would make it even more fun. I wonder why the Lazers have been forbidden, despite not being overpowered, they only managed to get them once, and did not gain any advantage from them. Same goes for the homing launchers, that were removed, the railguns are useless against planes, that's why they never get them, revert that change. There are a lot of great suggestions here in the comments to make it better: - Safe zones around every checkpoint, so the planes have to get their kills before the runners get there - Forbid blocking with trashed planes, and trying to outsmart the Chilliad safe zone - A fixed number of lives for the planes, so that they no longer can do really risky attacks or block entrances, this would also make the last island a lot more fair

To bring up the topic of the LAZER spawning that you mentioned in this video, there's a weird reason as to why they are one of the very few things that can consistently spawn inside missions. Since you know the game handles so much stuff via flags, and that carries on to not just vehicles but to statuses and settings within the game as well, and it dictates how the game handles instanced scenarios with what can and can't spawn. It's why as a result you don't see boats and tanks for example as you mentioned inside gfreds, or within other types of races that might be in areas such as Fort Zancudo. As you know by this point too there are "sets" of traffic that spawn too, and these can not only dictate what can and can't spawn at that point in terms of cars - which leads to either never seeing or always seeing vehicles like the 9F - but the sets can get even more intricate with the rarity of spawns in the sets too. It leads to moments like some gfreds where you can either basically guarantee or not if there will even be LAZERS available, as it's entirely possible for them to not spawn at all when you go to the Fort, and it requires a full reset to try and get them to spawn. I am making all this up. With the LAZER they have a weird flag attached to them that doesn't have a set state to be in normally, unless you put the traffic to "none" to prevent them spawning altogether. Outside of that the flag for their spawn never actually reads the instance that you're in and instead takes a weird default setting to pick from which leads to it either being on or off. That setting doesn't have issues for other types of vehicles as you know with boats, and things will be turned off when you load up an instance with only a very few exceptions. As Failrace found with the Seasharks they are super inconsistent and their setting for how they spawn only dictates special scenarios so that they are not readily available. It's why you also never see Helicopters at the Landing Pads in the city since they did use to spawn a long time ago until Rockstar turned them off due to some extreme glitches and exploits being allowed in missions and such for things such as insane RP methods.

People said that helicopters wouldn't spawn in heists years ago. That didn't stop me from doing the bank heist of Pacific Standard like 50 times in a row with the helicopter Frogger. No glitches or mods were used. I just knew what method worked.
