Answers really? The very first question, the interviewer tried asking the same in at least 3 different ways. Sanjay Jha specifically stated he didn't want to get into the nitty gritty details. I found it to be a lot of talking without saying much. Would have made sir Humphrey proud.

Indeed Congress has always been beacon of hope, liberalism, free thinking, secularism. Unfortunately today we have Congress in opposition because 1. Right wing ideologies able to polarise middle class which itself was risen because of the Congress economic policies in 90s liberalisation. How un-greatful people we are, we've refused to acknowledge this feat of bringing out almost 600 million people out of poverty last 30 years. 2. Congress leadership, it's high time this fiefdom of so called high command culture is done away with. Problem with Congress leaders is they are big lazy and lousy and corrupt to the core. Majority of top congress leaders are big drinkers. Suggestion? The only concrete statement was to work hard like N.Modi (do congress leaders need to be told that like high schoolers). other than that it was pretty much beating around the bush. The Interview was excellent. To me what came out was that the values that guided our freedom struggle are not lost as yet. There are legions of people who look for an expressions of belief in the Congress. The points suggested by Mr Sanjay Jha are very relevant, doable and utmost urgent. The values enshrined in our constitution must be reflected in the Constitution of the Congress. As he said, India cannot be standardized in mono chromatic colors. Let not the future generation of Indians say that the Congress lost its way in petty, pecuniary bickering and did not rise to India's cause. In the aftermath of the Pulwama attack, The Caravan Magazine published an article giving details of the caste of the dead soldiers and trying to make a point that upper caste people, who are apparently in the forefront of the Hindutva movement, were not enough in numbers for those dying for the country. By the same stretch of logic The Caravan should write an article on the death of our soldiers in Galwan, give a break up on their religious beliefs and point out that people who were recently in the forefront of reading the preamble to the constitution during the anti CAA protests were conspicuous by their absence there.

Sujith Nair has done fairly a good interview. Apt body language and direct questions have succeeded in bringing out some but not all thoughts of Sanjay Jha. He was initially diplomatic but towards the end he was carried away by clever interruptions of Mr Nair. Although Mr Nair scored a professional point, Mr Jha is going to face music. The most important step is to clearly spell out the ideology of the party and to weed out those who are not committed to it. It is disgusting the way politicians switch from the Congress to the BJP or other similarly diametrically opposed ideological parties and then return to the Congress at opportune times. Commitment to the ideology should be the most important criteria to be in the Congress. And, as for a new leadership, agree with Mr Jha that a non-Gandhi who has the drive and energy must take up the helm preferably through an election, and if necessary, the Gandhis should make it known that the elected person has their full support. That would quell a lot of the fractious infighting that may ensue.

Nice questioning. Some answers are right and well meaning. Present day local level congress leaders are fit for nothing, greedy lot. They want support / convessing from Gandhis to get elected for local level elections (to later on sell themselves for money). They don't work at the time of parliament elections to support Gandhis. Gandhis don't understand this simple thing. Elections in congress at all levels will remove this problem as suggested by Mr Jha. His suggestion are good - workable.

Politics is all about fluidity dear! If you stick to one particular notion, then its time for retirement. You have to continuously change your statements intentionally. Hunger for winning - that disappeared from Congress in 2014 ! They didn’t see the writing on the wall and slept for 5 years without a concrete plan or strategy for getting back to power.
