In this episode of ‘Editorial’, HW News’ Managing Editor Mr. Sujit Nair discusses some instances where the country’s opposition have reacted proactively and have tried to associate itself with the problems of the citizens. Mr. Nair mentions a recent case where a Shinde-Sena leader’s son in a drink and drive case rammed the car which led to the death of a woman in Worli, Mumbai. Maharashtra’s former CM Uddhav Thackeray’s son Aditya Thackeray, who belongs from the principle opposition party in Maharashtra raised the issue, met the victim’s family and conducted a press conference so that justice is delivered to the victim’s family. The recent Lok Sabha election results where the ruling NDA won 293-seats, much lesser than the previous brut majority and a stronger opposition with 234-seats, Mr. Nair says that the government will be accountable this time.
