This is a tutorial for learning mixups with Hwoarang.
The video includes basic mixups and extensions u can use to improve.

This is probably the most concise guide of hwoarang D3, 4 and its flamingo followups i've seen. I think leaving Rff for another video was really smart honestly, you can kinda learn that separately from flamingo mixups

Nice tutorial, I'm still having trouble with the infinite combo. When I go into flaningo for the down 3 +4 I can't do it as smoothly as you do. Is there a way to make the attack come out faster. How do you make it so smooth/quivk

Thanks man, appreciate it. The d3,4 i just hold down and roll over 3,4 and time the next input to when i se the last kick hits. Maybe hold forward as u go for 2? So u dont fall out of flamingo. Like: hold down 3,4 then hold forward 2 forward 3? Maybe that helps

Great video! Though, some people mash out of the 1, 2 punch before I even get into the mixups. What can I do to punish that?

@@vegillito Thanks! And I mean that I make them block the 1, 2 punches and go for the down 3 and then the hwoarang cycle, but they punch me out after the 1, 2 punches. So it's like I can't begin my mixup if they just jab out. What should I do?

Its not a combo, but a string. After f2,f3 then ur in flamingo. Just press d3,4, f2,f3,d3,4, f2, f3, d3,4, f2, f3 and keep going 😅

Follow all my tutorials and u could judge if its for u. Yeah true, cover that in my newest vid with frame trapping. But u got to go in flamingo, so rff df4f otherwise its not good. 2 afterwards to get +5 and be in rff again. But should have had it in this vid. Soo much with hwo. 😅

When you have a combo which gives a high and low whats it called in Tekken? LOL I thought those were called mixups. Also how exactly would you define mix-ups? 🤔

*3 months later* well mixups is more about playing the player. Like giving him a lot of lows at a specific time to prep him, then change style so he gets conflicted. Hwoarang have many lows placed in strings where these can be changed to be launchers. As well as mixups can be a nice way for the player to break his own patterns, which makes him predictable. In some of Hwoarang's strings you can frame trap by using pokes that doesn't harm much, when the other player thinks he got no options than blocking and hope to read a low, you can change it up with free grabs, bigger attacks and go for launchers when u previous went for lows.
