Sou programador de profissão mas quero migrar para engenharia de energia renovável para o setor marítimo e, depois de assistir esse vídeo, sei que estou no caminho certo! Saudações do Brasil!

This doesnt look like its ready commercially. I think the other (LAVO) is ready for commercial and residential applications. Still, Tesla is out in front with Generac and other close behind.

Hydrogen is the fuel, oxygen is in the air, plenty of it. What I would like to know is what is done with the heat produced when H and O combine back in the water. Maybe a Stirling engine could contribute to electricity production.

Stirling engines are sadly too expensive for most applications. It is more economical to use the heat directly

What is the round trip efficiency of such a system? Would it compete with batteries (>90%)?
@mattl6004
@mattl6004 2 жыл бұрын
would be less efficient due to electicity usage needed to produce the hydrogen. the theory is hydrogen produced when less demand on system. good news is longer life span than lithium. there are some completely off grid homes using similar technology. another advantage would be heat produced can be used for heating.

@@AutoNomades Using excess solar to make H2 isnt that efficient then storing it to use in a fuel cell is really bad, they are well known to be only about 50% efficient. You would be better off burning the H2 for heat or water, if batteries are too expensive (which they are).

@@manoo422 Yes, but if the idea is to find a way to store the sun, that is free but not always here, ~50% of something freely available is still interesting !.. And, "are well known" is not a source.. ; )

It is not a competitor to solar. It is an energy storage system like lithium batteries

Do they Need Pure Oxygen, If So where are they getting that from?. However Looks like Progress, I like it.

The pure Oxygen and the Hydrogen both comes from water (H2O) by electrolysis. Yes, this is definitely excellent progress!

@@chrisgriffiths2533 Ah I see what you mean. I don't think the oxygen is stored come to think of it. When energy is needed the hydrogen is released and combined with oxygen from the air to generate electricity. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fuel_cell

@andy86376

Oxygen is released once it is made as you don't want to store it etc. You don't need it as power recovering process let s call it this way will need only hydrogen stored in stones. Fuell cell will "change" pure hydrogen into oxygen. Hydrogen for fuel cell will come from hydrogen separator probably which splits hydrogen and oxygen. Than hydrogen goes to iron powder where it is restored by air being lown at it. By changing amount of ocygen you change amount of hydrogen recovered. You can change that on demand. I find it amazing how backwards we are. We develop expensive dangerous mixtures instead of checking out what we have got around. That is amazing. This is in fact ecellent idea as this should be considered simply as baterry replacement for solar applications and will go worldwide. Suddenly you can become independent and disconnet yourself from local grid and you will not pay taxes that come with it.

@@ThomasBomb45 Bob Lazar did this to his corvette over a decade ago using Hydride tanks to store the hydrogen. He used heat to release just enough to fuel the car. Look it up. This tech has been around for decades. There's a reason oil and gas still runs the world. Greed.
