I appreciate such an in depth walkthrough! I came to the Bahamas years ago at the Melia which at the time was a Sheraton. The all inclusive was attractive but the reviews told a different story. You really just solidified my choice in going to Baha Mahr! It looks amazing and so relaxing! I hope my mother likes it just as much, I’m taking her for her 75th birthday.

Chris, thank you so much for this very detailed yet informative vlog. I am a member of Ocean Resorts Casino in Atlantic City which is a sister property because it is a Hyatt owned resort and I received three complimentary days at Baha Mar and I have two complimentary days at Atlantis through Caesars entertainment. I will be leaving on Sunday, October 27th and this video really gave me some useful tips as far as how to plan out my days, etc. I am going solo but this really gave me some insight as to what to expect. Absolutely an amazing place to vacation. I cannot wait!

The property that you showed as Melia was actually the old Wyndam Crystal Palace Resort that was demolished a few months ago to make way for the Baha Mar water park thats currently under construction.

I never showed that property as Melia, I said it was the Crystal Palace if not in this tour in another tour I did since I showcased the rooms and all the restaurants plus the convention center..the Melia is alive and kicking I did a separate walk-around tour of that one the same time I was at the Baha Mar I walked over and did a tour of the Melia too here you go kzbin.info/www/bejne/gpvXhZeIhcmoi9U I'm actually back here again as I type at the Baha Mar with my wife having a blast..

Chris Dallas Dualped I just subscribed :)... The only concern my wife and have is the cost of food. We are a family of 5 and will be spending at least 7 days there. Are there food options in that area that relatively reasonably priced?

@@matthewwindisch9449 depends on your budget but I find that the resort is in between cheap and expensive so not too expensive imo and some restaurants actually are very down to earth in pricing plus some of them are celebrity chef owned like the Filia which is owned by Michael Schwartz a celebrity chef so the food there is truly outstanding and worth every penny plus it's NOT expensive..you won't regret it and I guarantee you'll look forward to going back..actually if you ever stayed at the Atlantis and want to compare it to this one I say this one is cheaper in every way and way more attractive..if you want to waste your money I stayed at the Cove 3 months after it opened and that was a rip-off very expensive and I think the Baha Mar is better than the Cove which is also owned by Atlantis..there are other options too it's so big but in a good way I loved it I went there twice in 2 months last year that's how much we liked it and we might go again in a few months who knows..

There is no comparison the Grand Hyatt is leaps and bounds better, I've stayed at the Atlantis over a dozen times even stayed at the expensive Cove but the Baha Mar is the best.

Everything is a la cart so it can add up quickly but our bill for 2 people at the end of the week all drinks and food came out to about $1200 and we ate well plus the best part is that all restaurants there are gourmet and some are owned by celebrity chefs..the trip from Ontario Canada was about $1100USD per person and another plus is if you gamble at night win or lose they comp you most of your food so I ended up gambling a bit nightly and they covered half my food bill so I ended up paying only $600 for our food and I also won $4,000 at the tables mainly craps.

Yeah that's not cheap..those small stores are expensive but the restaurants inside the hotel are actually reasonably priced believe it or not and that buffet is to die for and also responsibly priced.

@@tonyaguilar2151 no food is not included and it's not cheap but not overly priced either at least in the evening at the restaurants..by the pools and ocean they will nab you food is expensive there and so are drinks but like I mentioned the evenings are gourmet restaurants all a la cart.. actually there is a buffet as well $50 a person and it's to die for best buffet hands down with lobster crab etc check out my other videos on this resort I have the buffet walk around and show you what food you get it's simply awesome buffet..

So many reviews have said that the pools and beach are overcrowded (doesn't look overcrowded in video), and you can get kicked out due to private events. Has this ever happened to you during your stay? I've also heard some of the staff are very rude and inefficient and that the room cleaning services are slow and not fully done... Since GHBM is not all-inclusive, are daily meals expensive to purchase? Great video btw!!! Thumbs-Up'd
