For me it looks like the boy and the girl had an adventurous trip, with the boy leading and helping the girl all the time, but in the end, the girl broke their promise (or maybe just the boy's expectation) to go on the same path. I feel hurt watching the ending. The portrayal of child actors is just to make a contrast with the adult crowd? To emphasize that the main character is weak and fragile in the middle of the crowd? Despite that, he came back and help his "friend", I mean, fake friend.

There's some major symbolism here. The child is pulled into a dangerous world full of chaos and corruption, their friends help to guide them through... in the end they escape, they almost walk away, but then suddenly change their mind and return to the chaos... is it because one of their friends was still trapped inside? Or is it because there was something about that world which they felt drawn to, something else they needed to do?

I think the kid returned, because there was something interesting, she chose to be in chaotic and eventful life. Like some people prefer a noisy life to a calm and quiet one, maybe it's boring for them. Also it could the message from Namjoon that he chose this life, which he live now, and accepted it, it was his decision
