Hi.I recently subscribed to empty_nestadventures because my wife and I recently bought a hybrid Van similar to yours. We took our van out for 4 days to test down to Port Fairy to test it out and we could not of been happier. I love the honest reviews and took on board the hacks that you had on another video and I will use them for camping next time. E.G. Crock bin, the sullage hose fittings and the fusion-loc and the things you did looking after the van. I hope we get just as much enjoyment out of our little van the same way you do. Yay I have been eagerly awaiting this one! Thanks so much for running through the van, I wrote down so many of the tips for when we get ours. I also struggled to think about when I might use the outdoor shower, but perhaps on a hot day you don’t want the moisture inside the van, not sure. I had been thinking of upgrading to airbags (to help with levelling) but you might have convinced me not too. Glad to hear about your experience with Jawa as a company, it’s one of the main reasons I chose the infinity 13. So many similar vans but Jawa just seem like a good company to work with. Looking forward to watching your travels!!!

I’m actually working on a 7 month, 30000km review of the van, but the short answer as to if we are happy- ABSOLUTELY! Jawa is one of the best companies we have ever worked with. They bend over backwards to help their customers long after they have your cash. We did a few upgrades that weren’t needed, but a few that were worth their weight in gold. We have pushed the van hard and it has stood up to all of them

Hi mate. Feel free to check out the other 4 Jawas that we have lived in and tested. Jawa vans have been really strong in all the situations we’ve pushed them thru.

This is a great review and super informative, well done! I can see that your clearly respect your van and keep it extremely clean and tidy. We are looking at one of these but have concerns about the accumulation of dust that collects at the back on dusty roads. What’s the van like when you extend the back section after heading down a gravel road? I would appreciate your comments as you both look like you are fair and honest.

Hi Steve. Sorry for the slow response, been on the Gibb River Rd with no coverage. We have a dometic dust reduction system and it works almost unbelievably. Compared to the car, I am amazed at how little duct has come into the van. Can’t comment on what it was like without the DRS, as it’s been on since new. Highly recommend them. The GRR is an about 600km of dust and none in the van!

@@empty_nestadventures That’s very reassuring to know. I have seen a lot of videos on DRS and it’s appears to be a must have. Actually after your comments it’s no longer an option, it’s a must have. Vans are not cheap and resale value is important. Plus happy wife means happy life :)

We’ll take that! Oldest is 21 and youngest is 19. We were in our early 20’s, but worked out perfectly to be able to travel when fit and healthy

Hi Jason. This setup is standard in the Jawa. It works so well…. I actually haven’t seen something like this aftermarket, but sure someone would do it

The back drawer of the fridge doesn’t 100% open all the way. Just undo both clips and take lid off. Weird at first, but easy now

To this spec (few upgrades), $59K. I also have to say, Jawa’s after sales service is diamond level. I called them Monday with some damage after a storm- parts received in Perth on Friday…. They are brilliant
