Just spent 2 hours testing beds & narrowed it down between the tempur pedic all foam firm mattress & a Serta hybrid firm. TP was uh-mazing, but almost twice the cost of the hybrid, so I went with the hybrid. I'm 6'3" & 255lbs with 3 disk herniations, spinal stenosis, & nerve pain throughout my spine, so we shall see. 120 nights to try it out.

Yeah, with the 120 night sleep trial you can't go wrong. I'm sure both beds would've worked well, but I can understand wanting to save the money. Let us know after a month or two how it's sleeping. Have a great day! oursleepguide.com/

I’ve been watching videos for well oven a month trying to figure out which mattress I should buy and one thing no one has ever addressed is, which kind of mattress, foam or hybrid, will last longer before it starts to breaks down and sag. Do you have an opinion on that?
@oursleepguide86056 жыл бұрын
It all depends on the components in the mattress. If you're looking for the longest lasting mattress on the market, buy a coil mattress that has a extra firm coil with thick gauge steel and a firm dense foam on top of it. This will prevent the mattress from sagging. Over time everything will wear out, but if you're looking for just the longest lasting mattress that's it. oursleepguide.com/

Ive had 4 back surgeries and CANNOT stand to sleep on my back. I have to sleep on my side all the time. Is a soft memory foam mattress best for someone that has to sleep on their side all the time??? My shoulders and arm really take a beating because I have to lay on them all the time to sleep.
@oursleepguide86056 жыл бұрын
If I we're you I'd go with a medium Hybrid mattress. This will give you the right amount of support for your back and pressure relief to keep those shoulders feeling good. Thanks guise! Seen a good foam mattress for a decent price at Walmart then i seen a hybrid for a bit more, gets really hot here in the summer and I'm 6'1 330 so I'd assume the extra 30$ would be well worth getting the hybrid i think I'm extremely sensitive to off gassing regardless

Also I'm curious to know if metal/wood platform makes any difference on longevity of mattress or comfort?
@oursleepguide86056 жыл бұрын
Hi, thanks for the question. It won't make a difference if the platform is metal or wood as long as it's heavy duty. The main thing you're looking for is a flat solid level surface. This will give equal longevity and comfort to the mattress. oursleepguide.com/

I’m struggling! I have fibromyalgia and chronic pain and I don’t like all foam because there’s no bounce and I tried the Alexander hybrid but the way I’m built with little padding I can literally feel the springs digging into me. Should I just go back to regular pillow top or can u think of a hybrid that’s going to be very soft but where a hyper sensitive person won’t feel the coils? Thx .. I just wish I could try these things in person .. I did try the hybridvinfinity luxury at sit n sleep and it was nice but I’m trying to stay under 1000 for a full .. any help is much appreciated
@oursleepguide86055 жыл бұрын
I would try a latex or latex hybrid if I were you. The latex is more resilient and dense than poly or memory foam. It also adds a nice amount of spring so you never feel stuck, even without springs. It also sleeps very cool. If you want a softer feel I would check out the Spindle mattress and the EcoCloud Hybrid mattress... @@oursleepguide8605 what do you think might be better for a slide sleeper, the Eve Original or Eve Hybrid. I suspect the Original might just be that little bit softer and contour a bit more, but what do you reckon? I've had a look on your website and a lot of the suggestions for side sleepers aren't available in the UK. Great videos and channel!

I'm 5-5 and 300lbs and I have scoliosis, 38 degree curve to the right in my spine, I usually sleep on my right side and I've been noticing that past couple of weeks I've been waking up having sharp pain in my lower left side of my back. When I lay on my left side I feel pain in the lower right side of my back. I currently sleep on a very thick and heavy mattress that you cannot flip made by Foster. Would you recommend a hybrid mattress over a memory foam mattress?
@oursleepguide86055 жыл бұрын
Hi Anthony, Personally I would think that a hybrid is going to offer better support, especially long term, than an all foam. So YES, a hybrid would be my pick for you. I would also suggest even looking at a mattress that has a dual coil system with good flexible support that will hold up better but still accommodate sleeping on your side. A couple really nice mattresses that offer options that would work great for side sleeping are the Oceano and WinkBed. Check out our reviews for both of those! I suffer with back pain from sciatica and I don’t know whether to get a regular memory foam mattress or a hybrid mattress.
@oursleepguide86055 жыл бұрын
I too have suffered for this problem over the years. What I would say is go after something with best of both worlds. Go with a thick foam top hybrid mattress. If you get a mattress around that 14" to 15" thick range you'll have around 7" of foam in the mattress and that's almost as thick as some all foam mattresses right there. Having the best of both world will allow for a better sleeping surface and hopefully help your issue. Here's a link to the best hybrid mattresses!
