Hybrid Meeting Setup and Demo

Here's how I setup our hybrid Toastmasters club meeting in less than 10 minutes. The setup is very low-tech that makes use of available tools. The only specialized device is the speakerphone that is used as both the microphone and speaker.
General setup.
1. Laptop connected to TV and running the ZOOM client. The audio is disconnected on the laptop to avoid echo. I connected a dedicated webcam to the laptop facing the audience to give online audience a good view of the physical room.
2. Mobile running zoom and connected via Bluetooth to the Anker Speakerphone
That's about it. You can see the actual meeting quality at the at of the video.

Cajetan, could an instruction to the online participants to pin the speaker camera (phone) to have a good view of the speaker be a good advice ?

Thank you. The way we do it is one of our member is a co-host. He will spotlight the speaker camera (phone) when there is anyone on the stage. This avoids giving additional instructions to the online audience. Keeps it simple. Hope that helps!

DTM Cajetan you shows brilliant ideas for a good hybrid setup include: Having your main presentation on a big screen in the middle that everyone can see (either via camera or directly) Placing webcams on tripods strategically around the room to give remote participants a 180 degree view and an additional camera for speaker connected to online attendees. Now I learnt how to approach an effective hybrid conference room setup that supports meeting equity between in-room and remote participants

I have removed all the complicated equipment and kept it to the bare minimum so others members can set it up without any issues.
