Thanks for putting the book out there! Just bought it. I use the technique you mentioned in another hybrid picking video of 'pre-positioning' fingers (both hands) when playing bass.

Fantastic! Thanks for the support Billy. If you have the time, a review on Amazon is a huge help!

Thanks, great lesson! I've purchased the book and really looking forward to getting right into it. I like your presentation style and would love to see you produce a full-blown and detailed video course devoted to hybrid picking.

I'll definitely grab a copy, but from fundamental changes directly. Looking forward to learning! And I hope I won't ruin my nails for Classical playing ^^

Hi Levi, great video. Quick question - How fast can you repeatedly pluck? I'm trying to get the Cliffs of Dover intro hybrid picking part. I can't for the life of me do it anywhere near the speed required with the hybrid plucking - is it something that you can either 'do or not', or do you think it will take time?

Personally, I believe you have it or you don’t. Natural speed that is. You might be able to push a bit, but I believe a lot of guitar playing is just refining motions.

@@LeviClay cheers for the reply (even if its bad news haha!) One thing that I haven't thought of (which was in this video) was that I might not be getting the plucking finger 'ready' enough so I'm trying to reach and pluck in a small amount of time.

Hi, this is a great lesson. However, I think it’s important to point out to you that there is a high frequency hum from your vocal mic every time you talk. It’s a bit distracting. Just something to listen for when you’re editing. Otherwise, love your channel and content.

Yeah, found that problem and sorted it. XLR was too close to a mains cable
