You are going to need to replace the clutch like I and a lot of other guys did. Almost all new ones come with a defective spring inside the clutch. It’s part number “hpi 86368” once you get that part take it out the package and go all the way in and 4 turns out. Then install. Guaranteed shifts, then you can dial the shift point from there.

@realazliving2 жыл бұрын
Is the gearing different on this vs the old model? I'm wondering if the gears are closer ratio maybe it doesn't sound the same. Another possible reason might be the adjustment of the slipper clutch. Real nice running truck though. The shift seems like it's at a good rpm to me.
@noodlesracing1172 жыл бұрын
According to information at HPI website, the gearing is the same.
@hybrid324942 жыл бұрын
hey my dude! thanks for watching! Great comments, I will respond to the gearing question. I also though it was different at first, but it's the same. @hybrid3249411 ай бұрын
Hey buddy, what’s up that is a good question. They are both very similar. I would say if you want a big block, then the Savage is the way to go if you’re OK with the smaller track is 3.3 then the Tmaxx will not disappoint you. I love both to be honest with you. The Tmaxx is a little more user-friendly and more fuel. Efficient also has better parts support. They are about the same top speed. Click the link in the description you can check both of them out. How your Doing Dmitriy? This should been one of the most epic footages which you ever make till now,what a pleasure to watch it!!! However, this isn"t the end result of the poweroutput of the engine,especially at the low end region ..I"m used to let the carb even after the regular break in procedure during the first half US Gal. relatively rich like yours.Only after the first half galon I"m starting to tune the carb in order to get more or less 90%-95% of the theoretical max. power development.Anyway I prefer to have 5-10% less power and a significant longer engine life,since it"s only for fun purposes. I"m pretty sure that this Savage would hit after this period more than enough torque in order to push some serious wheelies ;-) Thanks my bro for your amazing editing work in order to demonstrating all the world out there how great our Nitro hobby could be😎👍

Holy crap, what a beast of a truck! I have a tough choice between a savage and baja, which would you choose? (I already have a nitro buggy)
@hybrid324942 жыл бұрын
hey buddy! welcome back! glad to see you here again! That's a tough choice, your really need one of both. But I will tell you that if you go with a 1/5 gas RC you will need a whole new sort of extra investment, a fuel mixing container, good 2-stroke oil, a kill switch and just lots of learning. But you gotta love the BAJA! The savage and a gas RC are totally diff, also the savage is a little faster than most Bajas RTR.
