I had no idea that the HEV battery had a filter. I purchased a new Hyundai IONIQ HEV in 2022. In my opinion, the dealer should have given me a short list, say consisting of 10 things, that I should know about. At 75, I do not like to weigh through owner manuals. After all, I don't have that much time left! My Hybrid Battery is going out at 105,000 miles. It is showing 50% capacity. After locating your channel, I discovered there is a filter for the battery itself. Many years ago, I sold new and used cars. We always did a walk around after a customer had purchased a new car. I will probably not purchase another car from Terry Reid Hyundai of Cartersville Georgia.

Wow! I thought my Hybrid Battery in my Hyundai Ioniq might be going bad. Everything that you showed in the video, regarding the amount of charge in the battery, is what my Hyundai battery indicator is showing. The only thing I have done that might have affected it was a couple of days ago, I accidentally left the ignition on, without the car running. From that point on, it showed that the hybrid battery was about half low. However, it would recharge, but never all the way.

Hello there! Thank you very much for the useful video! I'm not very familiar with the hybrid cars and honestly wasn't really interested in them until recently. I have fully committed myself to EVs, and began to think about converting retro (and not so old) ICE cars. However after watching your video and a few others I began to think it makes sense to include in this group for conversion hybrid cars too. They are after all half electric to put it this way. For example Toyota/Lexus have some models which have powerful enough electric motors to move the car on electricity only, in this case is it possible to remove the ICE from the car and use it as electric only? Of Course battery power has to be increased and few other changes to be done. My question is does it make sense for this conversion and if it does, which models are the best candidates (it doesn't have to be Toyota only if you are aware of other brands cars which are suitable too, it will be helpful to know)? Nice information. Just wondering if you need to change silent block/bush in the axle? Recently I can see those rubber split up. However, I cannot source the part for them. For example, Toyota Sienta nhp170 doesn't have that part on their diagram.

hola jose! gracias por tus videos son de mucha ayuda, tengo un 2007 camry hybrid el cual no puedo hacer que funcione correctamente, mi scanner me dice que block 2 y 3 no funcionan, ok, los cambio pero no resolvio el problema, los cambio de nuevo y esta vez remuevo todas las celdas y hago un load test, reemplazo todas las celdas mas bajas, las balanceo, todas marcan 8.2 volts, instalo todo de nuevo asegurando de limpiar terminales,etc nuevas bus bars y tuercas, y resulta que no se resuelve mi problema, uso dr prius y cuando monitoreo la bateria los bloques 2 y 3 suben y bajan en verde pero bajan hasta abajo en rojo, que puedo hacer? la luz roja en el dashboard ahora prende y apaga en intervalos de 10 seguntos mas o menos. gracias por tu ayuda. por cierto mi carro se apaga manejando,y al parecer cuando esta en con los codigos el motor electrico parece no ayudarle al de gas y el carro esta lento, por favor ayuda ya trate varias cosas.

When it comes to simplicity, it only applies to Toyota hybrids, due to the planetary gear set, being gears that connect the ICE with the electric motors, it is the simplest and more robust ''transmission'' designs.

There have been questions about how often the brake fluid needs to be changed. The service has it changed after 20,000 miles. I’ve also read that it should be changed every two years. Others never change it or only if it gets dark. I’ve read brake fluid manufacturers data that recommends every 2 years except for the Bosch fluid that says it’s good to three years. What’s your recommendation 2 years or a certain number of kilometers/miles?

If hybrid cars last longer,low budget to maintain.if everyone buy a hybrid.new cars won't sell anymore.dealership will be low on sale in a year.because many people wouldn't think to buy another newcar.because they can drive the car 10years en enjoy of the car that never break en little maintenance.all combustion car will be full instock.they will never sell of the hich maintenance an don't last long then hybird.
