One thing I did neglect to mention is the audio. It shares the audio from the Sabre Raven and Firebird which is a little disappoint to me. I really would like to see the audio wizards at CIG try their hand at creating new engine sounds for the Peregrine that evoke its high performance nature. Maybe we'll see that in the future, but for me it was a little bit of a let down. Have you tried the Peregrine yet? Are you planning on getting one? Or have you gotten one already? And are you racer? How have you been liking the Peregrine and the new tuning changes? Particularly for atmospheric flight and racing. Thanks a TON for including those very well taken screenshots of the paints at the end. Some look totally different than the vehicle manager in-game and these are big and easy for preview.

Nice work getting them lined up on the lift at the start (18 seconds in). The paints look really good. Even the Harvest and I'm not normally a fan of orange for a racing ship color.

I agree with the change to remove the weapons from the Peregrine. I own the M50, Mustang Gamma, and 350R. If they made variants of all three that came with no weapons I would melt mine in a heartbeat.

We really need some different weight classes for racing, the Peregrine would go great in a class with the 350R and Mustang Gamma.

Thats true, I was sad to see that the 350r did poorly in atmo tracks vs any small racing ships

I'm waiting to see what aerodynamic changes / control surfaces do to racing. I'd expect racing in atmo to change a lot. Might make lighter craft even nimbler?

I think racing just needs a bit more structure in verse, like Crucian , etc, has been saying. We can't do laps still. Like a track day with ships. Wonder what happened to that group racing event. Maybe even rally style racing over short and long distances. I look forward to hobby level racing as the game goes on. At least to the level a repair/engineer like me should.

I used to host PU racing events for a little over a year. was fun to get around 20 peeps to show up in their carrack or C2 full of ships and ready to race. I had RSI cards, HOTAS and HOSAS mounts for the winners. there was class a and b. MM killed racing for me tho. went from 4 hours an evening to not touching the project at all.. Out of the 5 flight models this is my least favorite

Ive tested the Peregrine on almost all the AC tracks, and it has left me underwhelmed. The snubs outclass it by a long shot, even when they lack nav speeds. The Peregrin handles well, but it doesnt hold corners as well as the snubs and M50. It's a dragster like the 350R, but it lacks a high atmosphere speed. Thus, it simply doesnt lend itself well to most of the tracks we have so far. It sure does look cool, though!

like I mentioned in a comment somewhere else, it would be pretty nice if we got the missile loadout of firebird and standard guns from raven/firebird on the peregrine chassis. This chassis looks great, its a shame though that it's just a racing ship.

I am so annoyed by the vehicle teams making vehicles that don't work for the environments we have and the environment teams making environments that don't work for the vehicles we have. The only thing that works still is open space for spaceships.

If you’re looking to get in to racing, do not spend real money on this ship. Go into AC and use whatever light fighter you have or rent something. I started with my arrow. Still just as fun and then if you’re like “hey I like this” maybe start by buying something like a razor or m50 in game with aUEC. Currently I just can’t justify this ship. Maybe once it’s purchasable in game

Thats funny. MM killed the realistic feeling. They reduced nav and bottom thrusters so much that you cant carry speed through a turn with out going wide. Followed up by a lag boost exiting the turn. If you like arcade stye flight models then okay. But the previous one was by far more realistic and competitive. MM effectively lowered the skill level by slowing down all ships.

sabres are mammals, cats with big tooties from ice age or something like that, so they arent a flock at all, but CIG chosen birds name .... not so smart. its either a Sabertooth or a bird ? or a type of sword ? anyway

I think the ship is glorious, but it's not made for racing. If anything it's made for rallies across space, cause apparently it slows down more in atmo than other racing ships so even planetary rallies isn't an option. TL;DR Another great but useless ship because certain dev teams seem to neither talk to each other nor play the game.

LOL no, racing is not saved For one this is not a good racing ship as it sucks in turns. You will use all of your thrust catching up in the straight. Second MM drastically reduced bottom and nav thrusters. This slowed down the best recorded lap times because you cant carry as much speed in the turns. As well as adding an arcade feeing lag boost when exiting the turn. The Peregrine is a good low flyer but shit on atmo tracks
