Your additions and new features are very impressive, I am so glad I was able to get a Hydrasynth and now even more so with firmware updates as these. Yay for Microtonal creations!

Step-by-step guide to getting your own custom microtunings on the Hydrasynth: 1) Create tuning in sevish.com/scaleworkshop/ the title you give it will be the name that will appear on Hydrasynth. Export as 'Scala scale (.scl)'. 2) Convert .scl file into mts.syx file using www.microtonalsoftware.com/scl-scala-to-mts-converter.html be sure to set a reference pitch and MIDI note placement here. The range is C-2 (MIDI note 0) to G8 (MIDI note 127). Just mirror what you chose in the previous step (by default that would work out as MIDI note 69 set as 440 hz which is 'A3 = 440 HZ' on the website) 3) Open the new mts.syx file in Bome SendSX www.bome.com/products/sendsx , make sure you have Hydrasynth set as MIDI out in the program. 4) On Hydrasynth: click 'System Setup' button twice, then click button 8 'Microtun Menu...', use knob 1 to pick which of the 32 slots to overwrite, click button 3 'Receive Scale..' to put Hydrasynth in 'Waiting ...' mode. 5) Back in Bome SendSX click 'Send (F4)' Marvel at your work!

Thanks! I exported the file using Scala btw. Load your tuning into Scala, type "set synth 107" and then export synth tuning from the file menu. Then I used the Bome thing you recommended.

Do microtunings also go to the cv out so you could play an analog synthesizer with the microtuning loaded in the hydrasynth?
@dcashley3033 жыл бұрын
Just tested this out with my MS20, sadly the Hydrasynth only sends regular tuning through CV regardless of the microtuning chosen. Hope they add this feature in an update.

Hello, is there a way to set the master tune A 440.0 Hz higher and lower on the Hydrasynth?

hello! i m a little late to the party but: are microtonal capabilities still a feature of Hydrasynth? Does the desktop version support that feature as well? cheers

Anyone actually manage to get a tuning on to the synth?? Have zero idea how it's done, I put the synth on 'recieve', I have my scale in Scala ready... and then?? Plus how would you name the tuning?

This video shows you how to export a midi file from Scala. kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y4Kxn4mkmax_o9k After you have the file, just use any MIDI sysex sending utility to upload it to the Hydrasynth.
