Yessss absolutely agree. I work a lot in film/video & Usually having the lights too bright is actually what makes it harder to see the details too. So for closeups turning the exposure down a stop or two (-0.3 / -0.6 EV) is super helpful. Also increasing the apature would help too. Always a great job! I started spraying my face with primer water or fix+ after I swipe stick foundations on my face but before I buff it out and it's made a world of difference with how it blends and melts into my skin. The staying power has improved as well.

@Kimberly Taylor sorry. I apply primer then I apply my stick foundation and spray my face with a primer spray or setting most before either using a sponge to blend it or a brush to blend/buff it into my skin. If I want lighter coverage I use a sponge if I want fuller coverage I use a brush then I spray my face again to set after everything else is applied. Hope that helps.

I just got this and I love it! The cooling feeling was happening because the stick is water based... I love the feel, it’s very refreshing! I got a medium natural glow with it, I set it with Clinique stay Matte pressed powder and didn’t need to touch up for the 8-9 hours it was on! My skin is normal to dry. I don’t have any texture issues tho.

Heather Graff definitely! Everyone is different, but I feel like she applied triple what I apply. It’s not a full coverage foundation, definitely medium at best. I even my tone with it, and then spot conceal if I need to. I’ve seen benefits from using it.

I feel like I can tell when you're not feeling good in videos by the look in your eyes because I get the same look about me when a migraine is coming on. I actually used this stick just to cover redness (with beauty blender) and then I applied the bare minerals loose matte powder foundation over it and it looked great and lasted all day long (with primer and setting spray). You should consider doing an updated starter suggestion video. Kind of like the ride or die tag that went on awhile back. Like, if you’re just starting out in skin care here are the 5 specific product I think you should try. Or if you’re new to make up this is my number one foundation suggestion, powder, mascara etc. And maybe do separate drugstore/highend video.

I know I'm late to the party here. It's just fascinating to me how makeup can be wildly different person to person. That hydrating bare minerals stick foundation (my shade is even the same, Birch 1.5) is one of my absolute favorites. It doesn't look like makeup sitting on top of my face, it evens out my skin, and I get solid medium coverage with it. It does transfer if you don't powder it but just a touch of translucent powder and I am good to go. I love it; I need a new stick foundation...not sure if I'll buy my third stick of this or go for Tartes clay stick foundation that I also know to be quite amazing.!!! If this finds you Taylor, I hope you are feeling much better.
