It happens that when you lower a working milling cutter into the snow, it stops. This happens when the cutter caught something solid: a large stump or a stone. Usually they immediately climb to watch the hydraulic motors, but I wouldn't start with that. Most likely, the slots of the milling cutter are cut off. That is, it continues to rotate due to friction on the weight, but even under the most minimal load it stops.
Now we will show you how to properly and quickly disassemble the milling cutter, replace the failed part and continue working on the machine.
It is impossible to diagnose this breakdown indiscriminately, since the hydraulic motors of the milling cutter and its two drums are interconnected. Therefore, you “shaved” the left part or the right, it does not matter - the milling cutter stops working completely. Because the torque is applied to the other side, to the shaft on which there is now less resistance. And it is minimal where the slots were cut off.
I recommend opening both parts. Even if you opened, for example, the right one first and saw a breakdown there, it does not mean at all that everything is fine on the left side. Most likely, everything is bad there too.
