Hydraulics | Forces & Motion | Physics | FuseSchool
What do water piston, cranes and car brakes have in common?
They all have hydraulics to thank… which is the movement of liquids.
In this video we’ll look at how hydraulics multiply forces.
You should already know about pressure in gases and liquids, which we look at in these
videos.

I used to take my high school physics lessons for granted. But I have just realized how they can be applied in day to day life.

there is one more thing to know about: after the force is multiplyed in second piston, its travel is greatly reduced. It can multiply the force 100x but it will barely move.

Thanks, I'm not studying for anything, I was just wondering if this means the hydraulic brakes on a high-end bicycle uses the same principles? I assume so

So less force = more force mire force needs energy so take more force and use it as free energy

wrong. solids can be compressed...! so can water, a common missunderstanding. fooling yourself with math is way to common.. logics is unfortunatly not used so much nowadays
