Both Hydro Plant and Torvus Bog were based on Brinstar Overgrowth from Super Metroid.

@@MaskMan191 No. Torvus Bog uses similar instrument to this remix, that's why you think this. But Lower Torvus is a remix of Lower Brinstar, perhaps it's what you had in mind.

Now I know where this is from. It's a remix of the overgrown area of Brinstar in Super Metroid. In general is the soundtrack of this remake really good and atmospheric, just the way I want my Metroid soundtracks. :)

No problem! I actually figured it out listening to the soundtrack of Prime 2. Hunters (the multiplayer battle theme) is a remix of Brinstar too.

Ok, for those wondering, this is a remix of Green Jungle Brinstar from Super Metroid. The synths used are inspired by Sanctuary Fortress from Metroid Prime 2.

This is just my opinion, but I prefer am2r to the official remake. I like the gameplay and look of the game better, and the soundtrack of am2r is damn near perfect (maybe I just prefer the more chilled out prime style remixes idk)

wish nintendo had taken more inspiration from am2r when making their own remake, personally I think am2r fits metroid atmosphere better, art style in the remake looks too cartoony.
