Hydrogen bonding is a special type of dipole-dipole interaction that occurs between the lone pair of a highly electronegative atom (typically N, O, or F) and the hydrogen atom in a N-H, O-H, or F-H bond. Hydrogen bonds can form between different molecules (intermolecular hydrogen bonding) or between different parts of the same molecule (intramolecular hydrogen bonding).
Khan Academy is a nonprofit organization with the mission of providing a free, world-class education for anyone, anywhere. We offer quizzes, questions, instructional videos, and articles on a range of academic subjects, including math, biology, chemistry, physics, history, economics, finance, grammar, preschool learning, and more. We provide teachers with tools and data so they can help their students develop the skills, habits, and mindsets for success in school and beyond. Khan Academy has been translated into dozens of languages, and 15 million people around the globe learn on Khan Academy every month. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, we would love your help!

Excuse me, Khan Academy consists every single essential class to get through life (such as math, literature, chemistry, physics, economics etc.) . Does Sal teach in every single one of these? How can he be such an poly-connoisseur?

The attraction between partial positive hydrogen and partial negative molecules is what a hydrogen bond is.

khan academy has some magical power. but the only disappointing thing is that they have not completed the courses of class 11 and 12 of Indian students according to the Indian syllabus. They have done but some topics are not covered in between. also There are very few math content in the class 11,12 course.

U should try indian channels foor that issue like physics wallah and crack up are good Note- You can find maths vid's in crack up but not in physics wallah and similarly chemistry is available in physics wallah but not in crack up.

I know it's not a key feature here, but does anyone know why we use the term "moment"? If it comes from "momentum", that's mass * velocity, but doesn't the phenomenon that occurs here more closely resemble a force? F = k(qq/r^2) right? shouldn't it be a dipole newton?
