Hydroponic Melons | from Garden to Table.
The process of growing hydroponic melons using substrate or water culture media, from melon seeds to ready for consumption on the table, does require a very long process.
On average, the growth of melon plants from seedling to harvest takes quite a long time, starting from sowing to transplanting, 14 to 18 days. Continue with the planting medium or hydroponic installation, wait 25 to 30 days for pollination or the process of marrying male flowers with female flowers.
After 10 days, fruit selection needs to be carried out, to get optimal fruit results, only 1 fruit can be produced in one melon tree, if you want 2 fruits, then the melon stem can be branched into 2 branches after transplanting.
Next is the process of filling and ripening the fruit, here is a process that needs attention, with good care, the melon can bear sweet fruit.
Hydroponic melons on average have a sweetness level of above 13% Brix.
