Microsoft made the Series S for A: Emulation, B: A cheaper price for almost the same performance. Sony made two PS5's for A: Disc Drives and B: Prices. Obviously having no drive makes the console cheaper. Comparing the Xbox Series S with the PS5 makes no sense. The comparison between the Xbox Series X and the PS5 would make sense.

It’s really just 3 consoles. Ps4, Ps4 Pro, and Ps5. Same game but with major performance upgrades going from a ps4 to ps5 40-60 fps to 90-120 fps. The ps5 slim doesn’t exist, it’s just a redesigned ps5.
