Love it ! The secret to this tune is the quick return to the root/minor 7th. It reaches out to the 4th key of the cicrle of 5ths, then to the 3rd, then comes back home with a 7th. That's the hook, and I never tire of listening to it!

A really interesting interpretation. I like how you maintain constraint at 3:18 - this bit comes through really badly in all the OP recordings and possibly due to limitations in the original recording equipment. Some of the melody parts in this seem to be more than what OP was able to achieve- which is quite impressive.

Haha thanks, it is not exactly ragtime because it swings and for other reasons. Ragtime is very codify. But it is close, more stride than ragtime 😁

J'adore ce morceau et en ai entendu beaucoup de versions, celle-ci est excellente. Le moment où tu break en stride, les cheveux se sont dressés sur ma tête - vraiment super. Ma seule critique, ça vient du cœur, c'est qu'il y a un peu trop de "fausses fins" à mon goût (moments où tu ralentis avant de reprendre). Mais franchement super version. Merci !!
