12:48 Hyourinjutsu is a genius. By leaving the events prior to this fight ambiguous to the viewer, we can imagine what's going through Vegeta's head right before he starts his monologue. I like to imagine that it took quite a bit of convincing from Goku’s side in order to get Vegeta on board with ascending to god (rather than how events went in the movie). So whenever Black tells him he can’t win, he flashes back to that conversation he had with Goku. Goku putting his faith in one of his past enemies - someone who basically turned cities of his home to glass - to defend the place they now both live. I feel like this would definitely be enough of an emotional nudge to usher Vegeta into ascended God form. Either that or Hyourinjutsu just wanted some flare to add to the battle. Either/or is a win/win for me!

I think you've missed some details that imply he's not only more cooperative than ours, but outright stronger as well. Let's start with the obvious, he's using techniques he shouldn't have access to, like hellzone grenade and those surprise ki blasts from the ground, piccolo and Goku moves. Not only that, but he and Goku were fighting beerus in the flashbacks, something that doesn't happen in either version of that fight in the original timeline. This Vegeta therefore is less arrogant, and willing to accept help... But then why didn't they use Goku for the ritual? And why wasn't he in ssj3 fighting beerus. Call it a hunch, but given he has more training partners due to cooperating with other's and the fact Goku was on earth, there's a chance this Vegeta is outright stronger than that goku, and even the original timeline Goku by this point in the story. I mean he was already being debatably stronger in the og timeline with less, so why wouldn't this Vegeta be stronger than that one?

Y'know the more I think about it, the more I realize Hyuorinjutsu is a master of very tiny details. Like I feel when future Gohan's theme starts playing it is a callback as to what he said before he was killed by the Androids and Goku Black in this what-if series. To Hyourinjutsu. Just being frank here , your what ifs are THE most entertaining thing to consume compared to the vast arrays of DBZ fan creations that exist out there. (Believe me there's a lot) From Fanfictions, to fan-animation, abridged series , live-action creation and even games i have consumed a lot. All of them are great homages to this franchise but they never elevated the franchise itself (Team Four Star DBZA being the only exception) . Point is, your work on these what ifs has been fascinating to watch over the years , seen them grown in quality and now with this narrative hook to it i can confidently say that every DBZ fan should watch your what ifs to get the full DBZ experience. Your what ifs in my eyes genuinely elevates the franchise. I haven't felt this giddy to watch something DBZ related since the Broly movie two years ago. Do not stop with this Goku Black story, its at the best part right now and i can't wait to see what happens next. Keep doing this, your work is unparalleled and unique even among the sprite animation sphere. Just a little tid bit I liked in the beginning. When Goku Black launches the two cars and Vegeta catches them and saves the people in them, really shows how much his character has grown. He may not be the Prince or Possible King of Planet Vegeta anymore. But it shows he's definitely found a planet he sees that's worth ruling as the Prince of, albeit us weaklings earthlings can be seen as to him sometimes. It's a nice detail I noticed that made me go "Vegeta kick this poser's ass and SHOW HIM who exactly he's testing the patience of!"

Now, I don't know if you're THAT good in detail, but I vaguely remember in the manga that Vegeta in the future was beating Goku black with SSG and rapidly switching to Blue in between intervals, which made Black completely furious. I LOVE THIS GOKU BLACK/ZAMASU! Saiyans are naturally power-hungry and battle-thirsty, so we've never truly gotten to see something like a Saiyan Genius. If Bardock lived longer he probably could've been, but this is why I love the concept of Goku Black; a Saiyan wielded by Zamasu gets rid of that pure battle mentality. His end goal isn't just to reach endless power and continuously and become the strongest, that's more or less just his goal by proxy. His true goal is achieving his "Zero Mortals Plan", by having that main goal instilled, he's not held back by the natural Saiyan tendencies of honor and fight-fight-fight, and instead _abuses_ the heck of the fact that he is Saiyan. I love the concept of Goku Black because it provides a Saiyan Genius while _not_ breaking the lore of what a Saiyan is like. Goku Black isn't a "One-of-a-Billion-Special-boy-who-doesn't-want-to-fight" pure Saiyan, but a God abusing the Saiyan to their own desires. Goku Black literally answers _every_ single creative application of what a Saiyan is without being hindered by battle hunger or blood lust. Sure he's still hungry for power, but with his main goal he's much more flexible with his desires and training than that. He may not have honor as a fighter, but damn does he do his homework and exploit Saiyan abilities like an absolute madlad. The animation is stellar! I love how the Ki blasts and attacks are so vibrant and how it feels like every attack does have an impact both on the receiver and the environment around it. Every action, both during non-fight scenes and dialogue/exposition feel meaningful, every action having an equal reaction, the faintest wind ruffling hair, IT'S *GODLIKE!* I'm sure you've already heard this a million times before, but again, I just love everything about the presentation of your sprite battles, especially how you use Ki from different parts of the body. If I had to have a complaint it's that attacks like the Ki Blade and Ki Scythes don't really feel like they have an impact on the opponent like a blade would, it just feels like they're being smacked with blunt bats. That's understandable in my opinion since Goku Black's ki-blades are a unique attack to him and would further display the differences in how GB and Vegeta use their Ki, and that it just allows for more varied scenes to play out. It wouldn't do well for a fight scene for the blades just cut off their limbs, so its understandable that they act the way they are, but it's just irks me slightly.
