Reto's luck is so interesting. He gets just what he needs to win most of the time, and his curses are workable, but when it comes to getting the dabbler it's just a straight up "no" from the game lol.

I really think level 1 cursed items (aka tier -1 items) should have no effect beyond “must be equipped”. “Must be equipped, negative effect” should be reserved for tier 2 or probably even 3. “Must be equipped, negative effect, gain 1 item slot” is also an option

I think gain 1 item slot should be almost mandatory for them. In 90% of the cases, the curse IS losing the item slot. Also, at least with +1 item slot, you're still capped at the native 4 max item slots.

Some cursed Lv1 items make a hero completely useless. That should not happen.

@@Coffeewings334 If I recall correctly, the game tried to hand me an "all sides but the leftest: Mandatory, Generous, Possessed, 3 damage" Lv1 cursed item before, so...

@@XEndlessSteelX That seems like a generated item. But yeah, if that’s the case that’s pretty atrocious. All the standard T1 cursed items are somewhere between nuisance and somewhat crippling.

I think most endless modes are just a power trip, but at least these have scaling and checkpoints, and a kind of New Game + reset every 20 rounds

I absolutely agree with you that the "forced item" curses are undervalued, I never pick them either. They make you lose an item slot AND give you the effect of the curse. Losing an item slot sucks and it's not fun at the very least.

One thing I've found is that once I start taking the cantrip party I start getting petrify, spikes, and end up with Hexia almost without fail.

I feel you're going to have to do a 'heaven' run with a pregenerated all-orange party to get that dabbler unlock :D But at this point, the journey is more important (to us, i mean, as content) than the destination :D

Hey rito it's worth noting that if you take a tier higher curse of the same type, instead of cumulative penalties, it will actually "upgrade" that curse to the one listed. So in the case of Arthritis^2 it would have said "are you sure you want to upgrade this curse?" and instead of tier 3s having one less hp, they would have had 2 less hp, not 3 less.

Addicted to cantrips had an item that gave me I think 99 rerolls. Needless to say the few characters I had with cantrips that I got rid of the hit yourself mechanic (with other items) just slaughtered.
