This is a pretty cool version of this song, but I like the original just a bit better. Also; the sampled drums don't fit well with the Thunder Force III style all too well. But mostly the instruments could be balanced better.

Am I the only one who likes the Thunder Spirits version of this BGM better?

I don't think so. I do enjoy the Thunder Spirits version quite a bit, but some of the instruments used in the SNES version are just too overpowering, imo. So far, I think the Tunderforce AC version is my favorite. This version is actually a bit too subdued.

atreyu179 I agree with you on the AC version. It's my personal favorite edition of the song. The harder bass and percussion with the sharper main melody I think it what sells it for me. Though I love all versions of the song, this one included.

+atreyu179 Agreed, in this case Sega does what Nintendon't (yeah sorry for the cliche). The Thunderforce music just sounds better on Sega, it captures the exciting spirit of the times and the Sega Megadrive/Genesis had an attitude and joyfulness the SNES lacked. The SNES was too polished and too perfect. A hell of a machine, though.
