As a reference, I would prefer the comparison at the same volume. The louder version always sounds better and different volumes do not contribute to the comparison.

thanks for the feedback! For some of the examples, the volume differential was part of the demonstration, but point taken!

Thank you so much Hyperbits for this awesome mastering tips! Appreciate it a lot! 🙏 I remember struggle with one of my progressive house track tonal balance when mastering and then I just use the EQ match function in Izotope like you teach us in this video and results was INSANE! My track tonal balance start sounding really similar to my Nicky Romero reference track! I was really happy! I still use this method when I want similar frequency balance like in my reference tracks. And that tip to filter out low frequencies because of different key of reference tracks was mind-blown for me 🤯 Now I will never be afraid to use EQ matching even with reference track with diferrent key than mine mix! 🙏 Thank you! And that tip with sampling kick has really special place in my producer life ❤️ Because the quality of my production started to grow mainly after I started sampling kicks from professional tracks. And as you may know even big names sample kicks, in Avicii Levels is sampled kick from one of Axwell track and I remember that Laidback Luke also recommended sampling kicks from professional tracks, so really great tip! 🙏 I can not wait when I go in my DAW and try all other techniques you mentioned in this video! I am sure my masters will sound better with all this tips from you! 🙏 Thank you and you whole Hyperbits team for giving us awesome tips here and on your blog, thank you for your hard work! ❤️ 🙏 I am really happy that many of us, aspiring producers can get their production better and better with you tips, samples, articles and videos. Thank you for your help 🙏 Respect! 🙏🙏🙏

i dont realy need stacking 2 limiters again since I understand benefits of mid/side clipping function before final limiter. i like clip only in the middle with plugin like acustica lift4 or boz big clipper. a purpose I clip only in the middle, because i dont want clip stereo information from my sound like reverb or delay & a result sound feel really open. then I compensate the output gain before raise level with 1 limiter only (TDR Limiter 6 GE), a result sound feels much better than stacking with 2 limiter .. you can compare it if you dont believe

Excellent video here! 👍 Can you suggest an alternative to use rather than UAD maximiser first in the limiter chain?

Any solid limiter can work! You could try a Waves limiter

Would you recommend stacking soothe to Oxford before the limiter stack? I’d love to know your exact stack. Great video!

We like to do the Inflator - Saturation - Reductive EQ - Compression - Additive EQ - Limiting... soothe would be reductive.
