This gotta be the hardest fight in the game and may even be harder than Vishnu-Flynn and Satan solo on anarchy, apocalypse difficulty for Shin megami Tensei 4 Apocalypse (granted they are impossible with dlc) but anyways man this fight sucks.
The bgm is True arfoire theme that they replaced for this fight. if the volume is too low I had to record the fight in a crowded area soo there’s that and I am not recording this fight for a fourth time with the amount of luck I had.
Rules
1. Only Nepgear will be allowed to be usable. For fights than end up forcing me to use a character their will be an exception made. Additionally in cases I can’t use nepgear because the story demands it I’ll just use another party member.
2. Lily system is banned for now until the run gets borderline impossible.
3. DLC is prohibited besides the one the game automatically gives you when booting up the game and btw I am not cheap enough to use the nepgear swords given that way rn.
4. Aim of the challenge run is to do both conquest and the true ending.
As my suspicions were right True Arfoire is not a joke and if for some ungodly reason, you didn’t unlock the super exe drive and break damage limit this fight is flat out impossible because have fun doing only 89,991 damage and Arfoire heals half that up on her turn lmfao. Even if it was just this there is a lot of bs that I recently found out with this fight.
True Arfoire attacks use both magic and Mental resist to calculate their damage meaning you have to have both be consistently high or your cooked. Why mental resist? In one of the successful attempts for some reason I had the twin bangle which is only obtainable in one of the ng+ dungeons so either the rebirth 2 guides on Steam lied about it and there is an alternative way or I got it from Stella dungeon, generally I don’t know and I had 3100 Mental and Arfoire attacks did 0 damage. So I disregarded that run and the other one where I thought only the pippin could be usable to beat the boss.
If those problems weren't bad enough enter Final Guide aka Hyperdimension Neptunia Rebirth 2 version of Smt bs. The Worse part is for some reason it has P3fes (or P3R for you new people) Erebus Primal Darkness level scaling with it seemingly the third attack will be an effective insta kill with the increase in damage. So essentially the fight is on a time-limit, after the first two Final Guide’s your done. And did I mention True Arfoire can use it on the first freaking turn… yeah managing this boss fight is rough but the fact I am posting this video means I found a way so here is what you have to do.
Before doing anything you need the best nepgear sword found in the colosseum, you know her sword sprite so just skim through. Additionally you have to match your processors so that both vit and mental are 1924 or above stats wise. The easiest way to achieve this with 2107 str is to do the the one quest for the swimwear W, Measurements H you obtain in the story normally and Lilac mk2 L,S,B and C you will additionally automatically have before the final chapter. The Disk I used was the Ext SDD which gotten from beating Next gen Ricky after using LAN Castle Dungeon Change and the Chips I have are change dungeon for lv5 Gardual Hp recover in serpent resort, lv5 Null Aliments Found in World Labyrinth 2nd floor change dungeon and lv3 magic defence found in Arfoire factory with harvest change. Last thing get the healing bottle plan from the colosseum and Str booster Z which gives vit and str is gotten from the second last convo with Falcom. Now we can do the fight.
Firstly, go as far back as you can then use hdd and end the turn going farther back using a str booster Z. Arfoire will now have 2 turns wasted and we can now fill the gauge by spamming silver tear for 3 turns, use str up and repeat excatly that until your hp drops to under 5k heal back up with the heal bottle and continue till the gauge is full.
Secondly, Before you unpack Celestial Severance make sure your str up is lasting for at least 3 turns and this is the second biggest rng hurdle. With your stats the damage for the move will be at worst 10,328 fluxing to 16,582 or you get 20,000 on each hit which is unlikely. As long as the total damage is over 100,000 preferably 120k you can keep up with Arfoire’s healing.
Thirdly, once you get her to half hp this the worst phase. Be prepared to get hit by Final Guide doing at bare minimum 7300 to well 104k for the first hit and the third one can be 152k+ damage aka you hit the time limit and lost. Since you have been knocking her back you will be lucky for a turn of her to be wasted.
Fourthly, deal 75% of her hp you only have 1-3 turns before she doubles up Final Guide and kills you. I got extremely lucky and dodged it twice somehow. Use Celestial Severance one more time and you won.
The next fight is a ceremonial fight aka she doesn’t do any damage.
