Welcome to 2024... we can FINALLY say that we will be riding Hyperia - the UK's tallest and faster roller coaster - this year!! I return to the rides construction site at Thorpe Park and show you all of the latest work that has been taking place on the ride. From new supports and track being installed, to the construction of the rides brand new giftshop! The next few months are going to be so exciting for this record breaking roller coaster!

Take note that those extra trims are actually just the brackets. You can see the actual metal fins aren't there. Most likely as a precaution in case it does go into the outerbank a bit too quick, but it looks like it was designed to be without trims through there.

Trim brakes are often used also to control external elements such as a tail wind on this section of the ride

There aren't even any fins on those trim brakes, at the moment they appear to just be brackets so that fins can be added later which can be seen on the first drop of ride to happiness

The trim brakes will only be added in if needed during testing. They have to have the brackets ready just in case.

They don’t even have fins on them (yet). It’s just a bracket for holding fins if they needed to add them in the future. Ride to Happiness has 4 sets of brackets on the tophat and only 1 of them has a fin, and tbh you don’t even feel it.

Splashdown trims are at least acceptable, to "match" the theming - water is a great braking mechanism - but that second one? I hope they find out it's unnecessary and it remains turned off 🤞

Calculations wrong, measured with empty trains tregectory not full trains, last minute agustation breaks down is for an empty train/ light train and vice versa
