HYPERIA's Best Seat is..?! | THORPE PARK

I chat to a Mack employee who reveals what the best seat to ride Hyperia - the UK's tallest and fastest roller coaster is! I also take a look around the entire construction site at Thorpe Park, showing you the latest updates. Including queue line additions, work on the rides entrance portal, landscaping work in the shop and I discuss the next super exciting stage as we enter the final week of construction on this ride!

OMG that photo is amazing! gorgeous! stunning! Pick a positive adjective because it's all of them! It's so special! Not gunna lie I did think of Hyperia on the second nights the lights were (supposedly) visible and wondered if you or anyone else had photos of it over the ride. Knew you wouldn't disappoint. Somehow I didn't see them once, which is really, really sad as I watched like a hawk and was out for 3-4 hours on night two in a dark unlit area with my parents. I missed the best of it by maybe an hour on night 1 because I didn't realise it was going to be that night when I first read about them :( gutted. Anyway, back to Hyperia. I cant believe this is what the site looks like 10 days before the official opening, or well 11 as of when you filmed it. It looks unfinished but I know by opening day it will have been transformed, cus the people onsite are working their butts off. Can't wait to see the trees kick in and look fully integrated with the local area. Do you have any footage of the splash down working yet?

I went yesterday (Tuesday 14th May) and can confirm the big white fencing has been taken down so you now get a great view of the site

All looks really good and the pic looks amazing! If I had to I would love for them to paint the screws on the entrance portal gold to blend in with the gold rather than sticking out! But overall looks amazing!

I could have told you that already. ;) Think about which way you're turning. On the first drop, you'll have that little bit more whip than the left, as you have to travel further. On the massive outerbank there may not be much in it, between the right and left, but looking at the way it turns and folds under itself, I would have chosen right. Just got to imagine your way round the coaster layout, and whichever seat is travelling further than another, will be the better seat, for the most part anyway. Edit : actually on the first drop one seat isn't really travelling further than another, it's more your seat is being twisted 'downwards' or 'upwards' (imagine the swarm having a smilar drop. Both seats would be equally intense, but one would feel like you were being pulled backwards as you dropped, and the other side would feel like you were being pushed forwards as you dropped).

That Hyperia photo is extra special to me since it was taken on my 19th birthday, I remember being able to see the lights outside the place I was staying near Alton towers, if you could add or sign the date to the print that would be an awesome addition
