Hi .I would like to no how to get a border for that same game ?
@8bitjoystickАй бұрын
Well borders typically are a thing with emulators. These are not emulation systems. They are clone systems. So they recreate the experience of the original Hardware using alternative Hardware and you're not going to see borders period there is the option of running it in 4:3 aspect ratios which is the original aspect ratio of the game systems and a CRT TV and then there is the "Full screen" 16:9 setting which I dislike the visual experience of.

Hi. Could you please confirm if the Everdrive N8 works on the Retorn 1 HD console? I've read in many forums it doesn't, but you seem to feature it in you video.
@8bitjoystick24 күн бұрын
It partially works. It works for NES and Famicom games. The instant Saves states and the Famicom Disk System games do not work. The regular in-game saves work fine.

@@8bitjoystick Thanks a bunch! That's a well documented answer.

@@8bitjoystick I'm currently running my Everdrive on a real NES with a Retrotink 2x... But in all honestly. I sometimes I just want a simpler setup to play the classics.

@@8bitjoystick I also have a PowerPak from RetroUSB... But that old thing won't run in any clone systems I've tried over the years.

@@aftereando Well Have you seen the RetroUSB AVS? I LOVE that thing. Seriously kzbin.info/www/bejne/m6SpdJ53g9ilpbs

I can't get the sega mega drive game to go into position. It seems like I have to put it in backwards for it to fit. I haven't found any instructions on this so I am guessing at this point. Ignore this comment. I was thinking it was compatible with my Sega Master System, not Mega Drive. 🤦♂ Sad day!
@8bitjoystick2 ай бұрын
I don't really know what to do to help you. I'm able to get my Mega Drive cartridges in and out of my system. Sometimes getting them out is a little bit tough. Try having your spare hand on the system to make it more stable

@@8bitjoystick My Sega Genesis games work fine in this system. I was hoping it would have worked for my old Sega Master System game cartridge but sadly they don't fit. I had the old converter of Sega's to play on my Sega Genesis. But my old Sega console is starting to die so was hoping to have a replacement. Looks like I may have to look at that Hyperlink Sega console you showed in this video.

Does Hyperkin make anything for the sega master system cartridges?
@8bitjoystickАй бұрын
Well. The MegaRetron can use a PowerBase Converter as long as you set it to PAL. So it works but will be a little slower. I need to try it in my Retron 3 HD with a GameGeneie to make it fit The RetroN 5 can do master system and GameGear with an adapter.

Excellent video! I have an early release Retron 1HD from 2017. It was not compatible with the everdrive at all. Can you confirm (besides the famicom disk system games you showed) if the newer release Retron 1HD actually does work with the everdrive now? Thanks!
@8bitjoystick4 ай бұрын
Yes. So the Retron 1 HD and the restaurant 3 HD will both play games often Everdrive N8. However the in game save states do not work because it doesn't recognize the key presses however the regular battery saves do work so you can't do the instant save states but you can save everywhere the game allows. If you are going to be playing on HDMI based TVs and not CRTs I would seriously recommend you take a look at the Retro USB AVS. Those suckers can do EVERYTHING. kzbin.info/www/bejne/m6SpdJ53g9ilpbs

I'm having issues with the Retron 3 HD when playing PAL SNES games. The graphics can flash or freak out for a split second during playing and it happens frequently enough to be really annoying.
@8bitjoystick4 ай бұрын
Did you set the dip switch on the bottom of the console to PAL mode before playing a PAL game? It's my understanding is that you need to toggle it when you switch between a ntsc and pal game. Unfortunately I don't have any PAL games myself. However my friend Marcy has her childhood Super Nintendo games from Wales
@thatssomegoodpie4 ай бұрын
@@8bitjoystick Well yeah off course. It's a really weird problem but I hope it's just a defect in my unit. So I bought another one. Would be neat though if you could check out how your friend marcy's games run on your console though. When I say flashes it like happens every 10 minutes or so.

@@thatssomegoodpie Well, I can load a PAL version of a game on my EverDrive and play it on mine. What game is giving you the most problems. Are you playing via HDMI or a CRT TV?
@8bitjoystick4 ай бұрын
@@thatssomegoodpie seriously let me know what games they're giving you trouble and I can test it out on my system using an everdrive. I can load up a PAL game ROM and play it via HDMI mode. However, all of my CRT TVs are NTSC. I would even make a little video about it
@thatssomegoodpie3 ай бұрын
@@8bitjoystick Well, every PAL game. It's not a game specific issue. It's the console not handling PAL video output properly. The dipswitch has to be set to PAL though.

How can I get audio if my monitor has no audio?...just only image. i mean i have audio by subwoofer
@8bitjoystick4 ай бұрын
Well, hyperkin systems either use HDMI or Component RCA AV. Depending on what you have hooked up. So. If you're trying to connect your system to an HDMI monitor That absolutely does not have any kind of audio output on it, such as a headphone, jack, or external line out for audio systems. Then you might need to get an HDMI audio splitter/extractor VPFET HDMI Audio Extractor 4K HDMI to Optical 3.5mm AUX Audio Adapter Splitter Converter Supports HDCP Digital DTS 5.1 PCM a.co/d/1RiKuSF

Well NES compatibility is easy since there are not many special chips in the cartridges. The Famicom was a different story with Konami and Sunsoft putting chips in their games.
