For those of you who are getting this error in your browser: "Could not resolve URL for hyperlinked relationship using view name "student-detail". You may have failed to include the related model in your API, or incorrectly configured the `lookup_field` attribute on this field." create your serializers.py file like this; from rest_framework import serializers from .models import Student class StudentSerializer(serializers.HyperlinkedModelSerializer): url = serializers.HyperlinkedIdentityField(view_name='Student-detail') class Meta: model = Student fields = ['id', 'name', 'roll', 'city', 'url'] Hope this helps! I am surprised why in video this error was not raised? Your problem should be solved by this.
