It could be fun if UAE would spend fortunes trying to get a hypeloop system build. The hypeloop companies would face plenty of technical challenges, each time requesting additional funding. Like a Nigerian 419 "business model." 😅

The concept for Hyperloop was first proposed by Russian scientists 100 years ago. In my opinion Sky Way, although admittedly "only" 500kmph, is superior in almost every way. Sky Way (high speed) has the added advantage of being almost ready to go into production. Hyperloop is years away and 10-20 times more expensive. It will be a "niche" product.

Fairly recently I was in Dubai. Now Dubai is not cheap or mediocre in terms of prices. Bearing that in mind and also that Dubai's government has stated that they want to make Dubai a tourism oriented country as well as shipping. How exactly is this project going to attract people to come and live in Dubai?? Sure they will take all the black money they can get but even that has a limit and not to mention that the government has put in special taxes on everything. People are instead going to run away from Dubai and find jobs in other countries. True?? If not I would like to hear your opinion and expertise on this matter.

The hyperloop is just a scam, besides speed it is inferior to rail in every single way. It is barely faster than the french TGV train, but is so much more expensive, lower capacity and far more dangerous. We can revolutionize transportation, not by building crappy hyperloops across the country (which will likely explode), but by creating highspeed rail connections. Speed is great and all, but if we choose speed in exchange for safety, reliability, capacity and price then it is pretty pointless.
