Hello Vishal, There is a story about the time travel in Puran. Devi sati asked Shivji that what does he concentrate on while doing meditation. Shivji said, he is worshiper of the lord Ram. Lord Ram has not taken a avatar so far however, devi Sati travels in the future to ascertain if Shree Ram is really that great. That is a time when Shri Ram shows his Vishwaroop as a Ashirward. I don't remember the exact reference but this is what I've heard in the kath vachan in my childhood.

Brahma ji told them that their era has passed and by the time they will reach back to earth it will be the time of Shri Krishna and his elder brother Balram will be better groom for her...
