Basically what I am noticing is that we need to have an understanding of physiology and chemistry to grasp pharmacology medications.

Yes, you have to know these basics, so need to take classes if you do not understand what the material was explained.

Hi cathy are your cards helpful for LPN nurses or only RN?
@LevelUpRN4 жыл бұрын
Hi Alma. Our cards and videos can definitely help LPN students. There is a large amount of overlap in the concepts taught in both RN and LPN nursing programs. The key thing to remember is your scope of practice! The information on the flashcards is based on what we believe are the most important concepts that you need to know for both programs.🙂

Makes me mad at my cardiologist who knew I had asthma and low blood pressure due to a connective tissue disorder, but gave me propranolol anyway because I had POTS and that's all he focused on. 🤦

Cathy, what does the skull mean on the flash cards? Death or toxicity? I can't seem to find this answer anywhere.
@LevelUpRN4 жыл бұрын
It means there is a black box warning for the drug (potential for serious harm). There is a legend on the back of the cover card with definitions of our icons. Take care and good luck studying.
