It's a 1700 to 2000 $ unit. Couple hundred in parts and time, you're ahead of the game. Now to get a good ventilator before you fill the house with plasma smoke...

Great machines! My Hypo Powermax 900 has given me many years of trouble free service. You're doing well to add pre filters to your air supply. You will hate the dust that plasma cutters make in your work shop. Cuts electrically conductive materials including flesh. 😨😊 You're setting yourself up there with a nice set of metal fab tools Steve.

Didn't have anything like that available in my days when I worked in that field. We did have an oxy act motorized track cutter that was fun to play with though.. White you're shopping around, you might run across an oxy mapp gas set up, a lot safer than acetylene

Steve you must have money to burn, I've been in the welding business forty some years and from what I could see the filter was the only part that needed replacing not because of anything being unsafe, just to bring the unit up to a optimal working condition . A bit of compressed air and a soft bristled brush such as a shaving brush works great to clean the mother board. Have fun & take care !!

Hi. I bought it by mistake a Hypertherm 45Xp 400 V 3 phase. Do you know if there is any chance to get this working somehow from a 240V suply? Many thanks.

I see where you're going with this unit: the most common (legal) use of these tools away from industrial applications are for creating metal art sculptures. So when is the Xplorer Steve Art Gallery opening in Las Vegas? Can I commission a "Sammie the Pooper" commemorative dog turd in aluminum if I place my order now before you get too famous in the art world?
