Excited to try this with my hips back a little. I've never felt comfortable on this machine, but I'm learning small adjustments in setup yield noticeably higher quality sets.

Really helpful!!! Does cable work effectively? May I use all the cues of the lying cuff lateral raises you explained in the last video for this one to get harder at the bottom?

Dumbbell rear delt workout. Due to my shoulder injuries, I cant use a pec deck machine.

Hey bro, entire setup is good. But I bend my elbows slightly, so that it hits only the rear delt and not the rhomboids or traps..If we lock our elbows it hits the mid-back. Please correct me if I am wrong..and how about shoulders? to be protracted or retracted? And even the scapula needs to be depressed ..

Thoughts on changing the angle? Ex. Standing but leaning into the rear delt making the movement something inbetween the rear delt path shown and a lat pull down I also like the que to think wide 👍

Yes. The neutral grip can recruit more side delt

From a load standpoint, a wide grip (elbows out) chest supported row with minimum shoulder blades move can be a better choice. For isolation work instead, a reverse peck deck could be much more beneficial.

Yo coach why someone should use reverse peck deck and not compound for rear delts? Also is peck deck equal to seated cable flies for chest hypertrophy?

A compound usually won’t be enough for complete development unless the person has amazing genetics, so it’s best to do compounds plus isolations. Also, you could argue that seated cable flys are better for longevity as the arm can move more freely instead of moving fixed in a machine, however they’re very similar on paper.

@@user-rp3uu1lp9o You will still need some sort of vertical pulling movement (lat pulldowns, etc. if no pull-ups) to develop the lats and give the back it's width.

@@HughMiron thats a minsconception man. you dont develop lats with vertical movmenets but with pullover movements. Hypertrophy coach said it. serach for it ;).
